2017 Draft! Yes I went there

Who is your "want" for the 2017 draft in the first round?

I say Charles Harris OLB Mizzou. He's an athletic young pass rusher and with us not 5th year optioning JJ and 38 year James Harrisons likely last year we will need a pass rusher opposite Dupree (if Dupree continues to develop) and I am not sure Feeney or Chickollo at this point are the answer. If we get to preseason and those guys are on fire I would definitely go a different direction but right now that seems to be our biggest hole.

Desmond King, CB, Iowa. Kid won the Thorpe Award last year or was a finalist or whatever and I think fits the steelers defense perfectly. He's tough, physical, and a playmaker. With this pick, the defensive backfield overhaul is complete. Mitchell, Davis, Burns, King and Golson in the slot. Sign me up.

Jalen Tabor OR Quincy Wilson... DB - Florida. They'll be absolutely fantastic! Now, will they be available at 1/32...??? Probably not, but both are going to be significantly better than Hargreaves.

Also, I'm going to be very interested to see what Chad Kelly does at Ole Miss (QB). Kid has all the tools, but he also has a history. JT Barrett coming out of Ohio State will be interesting.

2018 could have a couple of QB's, Josh Rosen from UCLA could be good, as could the Texas A&M and Oklahoma QB's

I hope we are not required to go CB again in the first.
 
I'm one of those guys that thinks it wouldn't hurt to look for a youngster to replace Big Ben when he's ready to retire.

I'm still pissed that DeCody Fagg blew his knee and washed out of the NFL. I was sooooooo looking forward to announcers calling "TOUCHDOWN, FAGG!"

I really like Harris. I think an edge guy is where we need to look in 2017... maybe even a double dip. We will also likely need someone on the DL. Then a WR. Maybe another RB in the second half of the draft.


IMO... NEVER too early to talk draft!

As much as RB isn't a huge need for us (although DWill is on the last year of his contract and LeVeon Bell's contract negotiations will be coming) I'd love to snag Christian McCaffrey. Hate to have to play against that guy.
