Hainsey's was scary. The baby Pens can step up to the occassion if needed

After they played like total utter **** in the first and the only one that actually showed up was MAF, they come out and just overwhelm the Caps in the second and third.

As soon as I seen Trotz pulled Holtby I knew it was over.

That being said if they can't figure out a way to start these games stronger the Caps are going to light their ***** up in the first one of these games. MAF cant be superman forever.

MAF is playing really good. Honestly, it looks that the Craps wear themselves down with the hitting and bringing the house. The Pens have been owning the 2nd and 3rd periods. It gets to a point where the Craps are spent. They will have to match the Pens intensity Monday. Should be awesome!

Yea you would almost swear the Pens are playing rope a dope with them.
 
The Craps coach is a ******* idiot. Pull the leagues best goalie and have your best player serve the penalty. Total panic/choke moves. Sully owns him.
 
Yep, I said Sullivan is a great coach, and tonight proves it further. In fact, I think he's the best in professional sports regardless of them winning the cup this year. Incredible what he has brought to this team.

Barry is a genuinely nice guy. He is a decent coach. I knew him personally for 5 years when I worked for the Predators.

You have to be from the Lets go pens message board lol. They say that a lot over there. Great posters. The thoughts from the morning after threads are great.

Tonights win has me pumped. I felt beat after both games. But man, our guys are doing a phenomenal job weathering the storm

Just got home from DJing a prom. I hate proms. I hate missing Pens playoff games.

What a GREAT night!
 
I am stunned. The Pens have just taken the Caps behind the wood shed. I watched that game last night, and I could not believe the Pens got out of the first 0-0. I was even more stunned they got a lead at 1-0. From that point on, it wasn't a contest. Good gravy, MAF has been excellent. What a ride so far.
 
If you have, say a MAF backing Matt Murray, you make that change. To pull Holtby was not too smart. Their back-up(don't even know his name) looked unprepared to face the Pens prolific offense. i understand you need a spark, but I don't take Holtby out in a playoff game down by two, at home.

The Caps had to keep playing their game and get the next goal to build momentum. I think Holtby would have made those saves on the Pens' 4th and 5th goals. Barry played his hand too early and it burnt him.

Actually the only NHL board I am a member of is here. I am not connected to all the sports twitter/facebook/internet chatter stuff.

I checked that Lets Go Pens message board out and sure enough they have the rope a dope reference complete with Ali pics.

Don't know weather me thinking like them is a good thing or a bad thing lol.

The Pens have to clean some things up or they might find themselves behind the woodshed. If MAF lets a couple by in the first I think the game has a completely different outcome. What we need is a quick start to game 3. No more weathering the storm BS. They jump on them hard Monday night and then I will start to think the Caps are indeed done.

They are way too good of a team to count them out after only two games. The good thing is I think the Pens realize that too.
