2016-2017 Pens----Still with 100% more Kessel

do not want to play Columbus in the 1st rd

Not scared of Columbus, Pens lost this game because of too much fancy pants bull **** in over time.

Pens were down 2 regular D men, missing 2 pretty good goal scorers, hit the damn post how many times, and were coming in on the road in the second game of a back to back and still managed to ge it to over time, and probably should have won it in regulation. If Columbus wasn't allowed to play tackle hockey, they wouldn't be competitive against the top teams. If the Pens are healthy come playoff time, I like their chances. Against anyone.

Pens looking ok. I like the skating by both teams. Murray just got faked. Pens are getting good chances though

Bad powerplay showings. The pressure before the 2nd powerplay was great. If Bonino didn't get slashed it would've been tie game. Pens look like the "Mike Johnston" version. Thin skinned/easily frustrated. Let's have a strong 3rd period

Well I turn on the game after getting home and they give up 2 goals in a few minutes...haha.. oh good Crosby just scored!

It was a rough game. The Pens had a good showing in the 1st and got taken off track in frustration in the 2nd. The Pens could've battled back in the 3rd. But took some bad penalties

Rust and Sheary's speed is missing no doubt. On top of that, Sheary provides valuable puck possession on Sid's line, which really gave Crosby chances on goal. Not in panic mode just yet, but losing back to back sucks

Well they get Carolina Tuesday so that's a good chance to get a win before the cryers at Heinz Field.

Washington and CBJ lost so that's a plus I suppose. NYR is creeping up though.

Sloppy, sloppy game. You could see how much faster the Pens are but couldn't close the deal. Pens seemed to stumble around a lot too.

The Pens are stumbling around a lot cause of sloppy defensive passing. Letang is making tons of errors that Dumoulin has to pick up. On the PP, if you notice, Letang tends to hesitate giving the opposition a chance to make a play on the puck. So a lot of mistakes are coming from him, and other defenseman. Cole is solidifying himself pretty well, but can only log in so much minutes. Maatta and Shultz have been difference makers in the backend as well, so missing them is putting extra minutes on Daley, Cole, Dumo etc. Mistakes that can be easily fixed. The only thing that bothered me in yesterdays game was the Pens temper tantrums. They were frustrated and took it out on stupid retaliations

This team is not ready for the playoffs, not like last year. They all want to rush up the ice every play and score with nobody home to play defense.
Sloppy passes and turnovers lead to breakaways left and right. That has to change

It's almost the same team as last year. We'll be ready.

The team was prone to giving up breakaway shots last year as well. Sullivan likes to have speedier D men jump in on rushes and play offense as well. The d men are a lot more speedier now than last season which is why you don't see a D man staying back. Which makes me miss Lovejoy even more. Cole has kinda taken on that role that Lovejoy had, and I think Maatta would excel as a stay back insurance type guy as well. They'll be fine Spike

yeah but they do it ALL the time, rush rush rush, sloppily, maybe that will change when everybody gets back. still a month to go

Still plenty of hockey and a chance to stay in the top 3 of the metro. Pens get 2 points tonight against Carolina

i'll be watching - whose turn is it, Fleury again?

Frustrating to say the least. Liked the intensity towards the end of the 2nd. The PP looked really really sloppy, even on the 5 on 3. Kessel needs more chances like he did. Deadly ******* shot, all in all Murray is solid

Pens are looking bad on defense as the 3rd wears on. Passes finally getting through though. So gotta take advantage of the rushes. Losing Daley is gonna hurt

5.1 seconds left

I'll take the win. Sloppy play, and Spike, good eye, definately sloppy rushes---result of bad passing. But the Pens held up strong in the 3rd

I called the 2 points juss sayin. Lol

Totally off topic. Chick in the back is kinda cute. Phone is acting up again. Blame too much stuff connected to the wi-fi so I'll be back

So my thoughts on the game:
-Retaliations: Pens need to just let it be. Crosby was easily frustrated early. Granted Rask took a poke at Murray, but stay cool
-Defense: Daley down. Letang on the PP is horrible. Too many guys on the line overcorrecting Letang's mistakes. Letang has a certain strength that makes this Pens team chug, but also has a weakness that just breaks the team.
-Murray: GOD
-Coaching: Sullivan has control of the game and the Pens are in position to win even when they play like ****.

Overall, a much happy night for me as a fan. These 2 points are a start

I hope they're saving that A game for this weekend vs the cryers. They should have fresh legs.
