Villaneuva - Looks to be somewhere in-between quality backup and good NFL starter. We'll see where he is after today, but I think the glass is half full in his case.

Boswell - Has been extremely accurate between 40-51 yards. A true find, you just never know new kickers with limited or no NFL track record. Although it's very early Boswell looks to be an upgrade over a rather expensive Suisham.

Cockrell - A player I liked in rounds 3-4 in a past draft, he's quickly acclimated himself to our system and is playing well.

IMO, these free pick ups are outplaying our entire draft class. I like what I have seen out of Dupree, but he's just one player.

On the flip side they failed to bring in a SS after miserably misjudging Sham-not so wow Thomas.

And traded for a CB that has the same skill set as Gay, when they needed more of a outside type to challenge Allen and Blake .

But with Williams,Boswell, and Villaneuva... throw in Dupree I think they are on the positive side of good decisions.

SS is a glaring weakness a upgrade there is needed in the off-season.

Like the Sham not so wow Thomas. He did have fortunate misfortune of sitting behind Polamalu and he also was a proud participant in the sideline apparel club. Oh well, moving on.

He had the best mentor in the game. For this he should have improved.

I like what I've seen from Boswell so far. Strong and accurate leg. Cockrell is a backup and can be a pretty good one but not a starter in my opinion. Villaneuva again is no more than a backup at this point and we will need to make a decision on LT in the off season. Do we re-sign Beachum or draft someone or go F/A route. I would look into the crazy Browns who want to deal Thomas. Boom, done, LT is fixed with acquiring Thomas. Sorry guys, I'm not sold on Villaneuva.

Bad Bud will be just fine. Look for big things from him next year. Not a bad rookie season so far.
