The official 2015 NFL Schedule will be released in the coming days (sometime between April 21-23), and speculation on who the New England Patriots will be hosting in the annual Kickoff game continues to swirl. Those speculations seemingly continue to be pointing to the steel city as the likeliest option for the season opener at Gillette Stadium.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are possibly the best opponent traveling to New England in 2015, but as Ben Volin of the Boston Globe points out, there are more factors involved than simply the Steelers being a solid team which could have them being the lucky recipients of traveling to New England for the first game of the season.

At least we know the schedule will be out next week - there's that

I kind of figured we would get that game. Though I have had some others point out to me that Rog may stay clear of that matchup, because Blount and Bell would be serving suspensions and wouldnt like that announced 25 times during the broadcast. The only other options for that spot on the stage would be Rex and the Bills, or Chip Kellys Eagles (Offensive and Defensive mad scientists against each other)

I mean this in all sincerity, **** that idea. I refuse to watch them celebrate another bullshit trophy at that cheating shithole and I'll be damned if I watch the Steelers be a part of it. If the Steelers somehow manage to win it, great. But there's no way in hell my TV is tuned in for it. Goodell/Kraft/Belicheat/CBS and whoever else is involved in propping up that corrupt regime can go take a flying leap into the shallow end of the pool.

It will be a humiliating beatdown of epic proportion. The Cheats will put up at least 50 on our weakened defense and probably 60. Hell, maybe 70.

Since 2004, these two teams have only played two of eight games with a game decided by eight points or less. Not the making for an exciting opener, especially with Bell out.

Who else really they gonna play? Seriously; if we had Bell I'd say **** em; bring em on we'll beat theirs ***. Bell is our version of the 96-98 Broncos Terrell Davis

Rex Ryan and the Buffalo Bills. Get the division scheduled started off right.

I couldn't care less about when the Steelers play the Pats, but I can't stand primetime games and the less we have, the better.

Rog could simply instruct the announcers to not announce it. End of story. Same thing with the deflated footballs, that topic will not see the light of day.

Gold star for you I could not agree more.

It will be the Bills. The NFL has found a formula for drawing viewers to their Thursday night games --> Division Rivals. Add to that Rex Ryan with his new team. He's likely the only coach that knows the Pats well enough to go into the first game of the season against them and give them some sort of fits.

If the announcers, can't speak of the "cheating" the cheatriots have been doing, it will be an awefull long silent game.

Salute the nation

So change the channel when they hand out rings/unfurl banners, then change it back during gameplay

I think there's an equal chance NE plays Revis and the Jets.

too much preoccupation of the Patriots here.

Lets play em and beat their ***. **** the cheating comments, what is done is done. take care of now. Let the offense keep up with that joke of a depleted secondary they have themselves.

playing a good team early (yeah I hate the cheats too) will give the D a look at where you are at, and no false sense of security. And they have a whole season to steadily improve. How I hate that team I will still take it and root for the Steelers to win, because that is what I do.

Peter King pointed out that the Boston Marathon bombing trial lasted 5 weeks, and Ted Wells deflate gate investigation has lasted 12 weeks.

I can't help but suspect the NFL told Wells to take his time and let people forget.

Sorry but under inflated footballs and what happened at Boston Marathon don't belong in same sentence. That's an insult to those who suffered at a real tragedy. NFL is big business, not terrorism

I think we've only beaten them twice in that timespan also.

My guess with Bell suspension is: 1. Pat*s (No Cheech or Chong) Week 2. Ravens (No Bell, as the Ravens played without Rice, time for Rog to even up) 3. Bengals/Seahawks/Broncos (only if it is 3 games w/o Bell, Rog is hoping for 0-3)

Idiot, it's not comparing the two incidents at all. It's pointing out how ridiculously long a simple investigation into a mostly trivial incident is taking.

Honestly, if I'm coaching against the **'s, I send my guys at Brady's knees every snap, even our offensive ones.

I scour the rulebook for a Billichick'ian way to interpret the late hit as remotely legal. Hell, what if I have a deaf guy on the defensive line? I mean honestly? Does the NFL discriminate against deaf people too?

That's cold Roger... Cold.

Get the Referees whistles that light up. And have them use sign language as well. Discriminating *******!
