First of all I say welcome, and here’s to new beginnings Drew.
Of course I get a little concerned when I read reviews like the one below with those stats against actual decent competition. We all know how many patsy teams that load up stats are played in College Ball. Obviously he’s got a live, strong arm. Anthony Richardson?
Tape…..while I admire your dedication I seem to remember you during the actual games commenting your disappointment many times on here during game play. That low completion percentage concerns me. That’s not just low…it’s putrid. The TO’s.
Obviously I hope for all the success in the world for our new pick.

Allar peaked in 2024, leading Penn State to a 13-3 record and appearance in the CFP semifinals. He is a big pocket passer with the anticipation, release and arm strength to throw into tight windows over the middle. Allar drives the ball on seam routes and hole shots on the outside. He is an experienced starter who can get through his progressions. Allar is not a big-play threat that teams will be keen on executing designed quarterback runs with, but he scrambles for first downs and avoids negative plays with his legs. He was plagued by poor to average performances against top teams, holding a 1-7 record against AP top-10 opponents in college. In these marquee matchups, Allar had low completion percentages (around 48% to 50%), as well as key turnovers in losses against top-six opponents. He is an intriguing prospect because he is so physically gifted as a passer, but inconsistent big-game performance and injury are areas of concern. Allar had season-ending surgery on a broken left ankle in November. -- Scouts Inc.
