Was is after the championship games or after 98-00 that the so called threats were issued??

The Deuce's Rooney Way is nothing like his fathers or grandfathers, hence point 4 from my post above.

I want Rossi to ask The Deuce this question:

If not winning the AFC Championship game was reason enough for The Deuce to threaten Bill Cowher; then what is his reaction to NO playoff wins in half a decade?

More than anyone, Art II owns this failure, and by the standard that he set, it is completely unacceptable..

I agree and have felt that way for a long time.
The Rooney way is more like the Dan Rooney way, and that left Pittsburgh when Dan handed the reins to Art 2 and ran off to To be Ambassador to Ireland.

Seems to be a lot of confusion as to why I reposted Still MIlls Cowher evaluation. I did it for the following reasons.

1) To dispel the fallacy that Cowher wasn't criticized like Tomlin is. That is complete bullshit. The people giving me karma for posting it are the very same people who perpetuate that myth.
.

I gave you karma because I thought the post was a nice walk down memory lane, whether you agreed with everything the writer conveyed or not....it was an actual look back in time, which I enjoyed..Like I said in my post, "I thoroughly enjoyed the days of Cowher Power"....

And just for the record...because you have inaccurately "profiled" me ....

I have never stated on this board or to anyone else, that Cowher was never criticized, like Tomlin is today.

Lastly Super Dave, if I may "perpetuate" something, since I have already been accused of committing such an act...

It sounds like, once Dan passes, that your support for the Steelers ownership will cease?

Perpetuate on that for a minute.

It's just a basic fluff piece to cover for Tomlin. Which is why the article says "Tomlin isn't a problem". They cover Tomlin with Rooney's ability to pick coaches since Rooney is infallible in coaching decision. So Tomlin is a great coach because Rooney picked him. But Rossi doesn't point out the real issues. He asks the questions but doesn't have any answers. He leaves that up to Tomlin (who of course will work it out). He even gives Tomlin credit for the offense when earlier he says Art II brought in Haley. Everyone knows Tomlin wanted to keep BA. But he doesn't mention that fact.

Great 16-0 or fire the coach. Got it.

It's not about 16-0. It's about at least getting to the damn playoffs, and hell maybe winning a game or two. These 2-3 flops against losers every year cost us home playoff games, winnable playoff games, or even a playoff spot at all

No problem man..

Just wanted to clarify my reason for the karma..

If you look at both men (The Chin and Capt. Cool Shades), they are very similar in their records, although their styles are different, but IMHO, we as fans are fortunate to have both men lead our beloved Steelers..
