Sometimes you just move on....Our forum would be up in arms about the wasted #2 pick, pick yada, yada, yada. And Coach I believe (where you at my friend?) would say he never liked the pick....We'd have 36 pages of bitching about how Tomlin sux & the GM can't draft a corner even if he was standing at the intersection of Sunset & Vine. Coolie would lose his cool & Cope would just cope with it....

The Pats just cut bait and keep right on rolling...

I do hate the Pats, but so many of their personnel decisions are just so damn spot on...

This makes Dri Archer look like a sound draft pick by comparison.

Been the method of the Pats for some time throw a **** load of players against the wall and hope one sticks. Some of these media idiots see them as a great drafting team. They aren't.

There is very little in this world that would make me happier than us taking it to the Pats next Sunday night and kicking their *****. So ******* sick of that team.

It's going to happen Tibs.

I do think the Pats made a great selection with their 1st this year with N'Keal Harry (don't know what he's done in the preseason), but like others have said, they're not the best drafting team.

Yeah I don’t get the Belicheat mystique... the guy cheats... thats his gimmik... he isn’t super great at drafting like noll was... he doesn’t innovate... his team has tons of attitude problem guys, steroid abusers ect. I mean how many coaches fostered an actual murdering psyco on their team....

His pedestal comes from winning and his winning comes from cheating... very simple..

Also people here often forget that the majority of draft picks are going to bust... even first rounders...every draft pick is just a low percentage wager... one skill BB does have is a willingness to cut bait with a bad bet earlier than most... for that I do respect him... ever so slightly

Yeah, it seems Steelers fans dissect each and every draft pick like they're a specimen from another planet. We need - and demand - immediate results, rounds one through seven. The slightest disappointment with a draft pick is met with a huge backlash against the coaches, scouts and front office.

I absolutely love Steelers fans and the passion and commitment we bring to following this team.

I get that he was hurt but how bad are you to suck when you know what plays are coming?

Nah. Not a chance.
1. Pats****** W-L record at home is ridiculous.
2. Pats****** record against the spread at home is also ridiculous.
3. Belicheat has forgotten more about football than Shades knows.
4. We beat the Pats****** last year and Belicheat has lost to the same team two games in a row since about never.

when has coolie ever lost his cool? he is the sanest mother ****** on this site....

Well at least the mother ****** part is right...........

Salute the nation

Nah. Not a chance.

I'll bet you a Buffalo Nickel that we kick their *****. I know of our history in Foxboro, and Hoodie against Shades isn't a good matchup typically, but I believe we win this one handedly.

I think the same. we will win easily

I hope you're right but remember Tom Coughlin beat Hoodie twice in the Super Bowl by changing the Giants' signals while Shades freely admitted that he didn't think they would do such a thing and changing signals for one game wasn't necessary.

This being the first game of the year may be a slight advantage for us, as nobody (ie coach Belifuck) has seen this version of the Steelers offense. Maybe it will be all too familiar to us - and them - with or without AB, the same Steelers offense we've seen the past few years. Maybe Fichner has added enough wrinkles, new formations and the use different sets that it will be a competitive advantage for us. Ben & JuJu have been preaching a team-first approach for months, the idea of rotating players, not focusing on any one guy, perhaps that will make life difficult for NE. But to me this will come down to the Steelers D. Are we the bully on the block, able to come full force & piss on their turf, or will we continue to be Brady's *******, let him dink & dunk as we chase after their RB's and WR's like greased pigs.

I dont give the Steelers a big chance in this one. But if you have to play them you are far better off in the first 4 weeks. They use the first 4 weeks as an extended pre season because they know they really don't have to do much to win their useless division.

Seriously? Why would pats*** fans give a damn about draft picks? They've won 2 of the last 3 SBs and have appeared in all 3 of them. Nobody is going to care about a ******* draft pick. They trust the org. because they win and win a lot.

Ponder this; the Steelers have won the same amount of playoff games as the pats*** have SB since 2014. Draft picks? Nobody cares.

The Steelers tend to come out flat early in the season.
The P*ts do too.
Them at home is a big deal.

I will be interested in seeing how Conner and JaySam do. That may be the difference.

Just read that Tomlin is 7-4-1 in season openers. While not earth shattering, that's not too bad either.

This just shows that the Pats are not sold on the development process of high round picks. They allow open competition where anyone has a chance to make this team with superior training camp play. That's why they have so many UDFA on their team. It's not a bad strategy, and works for them.

They are looking for a particular type of player. They need smart players that can do multiple things. Like I said, nobody on the board would ***** about a specific draft pick if the Steelers had just won the SB and had won 2 of the last 3 SBs and had we been a dynasty for the last 20 years. Since the Steelers haven't won a SB in a decade and haven't won but 3 playoff games in 8 seasons people will start to question the leadership and talent evaluation on the team. And rightfully so.
