03.7 The Fan Report:Mike Wallace Interested In Returning To Steelers

With Brown, Bryant, and Wheaton we are fine at WR. I would still look to draft one but I would look late like 6th or 7th and try to get a punt return guy to replace Brown. Maybe that Tyler Locket from Kansas state.

Ted Ginn got cut so hes available for punt and KO return duties....

Yeah let's sign him and his twin brother santurdio

We've moved on. He got paid and now he wants to come back. I like Wheaton and Martavis lined up with AB. Don't think Wallace wants to come back to be a #4 WR.

Biggest thing working against him, he doesn't play special teams. Even if he were to sign here, and somehow leapfrog to the #2 receiver spot, he's not adding anything we don't already have. Bryant does what Wallace does, but he can also go over the middle, and will attack the ball at it's high point. No way he would sign here to be the #3/4 WR, and if you sign him for the #2 spot, I think you stunt Bryant and Wheaton's growth. I hope the FO is smart enough to realize this.

I'd rather have DHB back, he at least plays special teams, great character guy, and a hard worker.

Yep...He put those numbers up as the #1 WR for Miami....Here he would be what? #3 or #4? Would he willing accept that role? Or would he refuse to go into a game if everything didn't go his way. I don't get even the thought of signing him. Blount walked off the field with seconds remaining and gets cut. Wallace refused to go back into a game and with all of his history here his last couple of seasons with us....well. I would easily pass on him.

Which is why I said I wasn't interested in signing him. It was a comment on his overall ability rather than whether or not the Steelers should sign him.
