Well it sure wasn't from the draft class that year. We think our guru's in the war room suck now, look at this mess in '85.

Holy crap, 4 DBs, 3 LBs, 2 TEs, and a Punter. Dark times indeed.

And they all sucked big time 'cept the punter...LOL

The first round pick played 4 years and done, second round pick played one year, the third rounder didn't even make the team.
 
I remember ditching school and watching that draft on TV. I think Carr was an OK reserve LBer and special teamer. I think Turk was a LS.

Just realized we drafted Brent Jones the following year. He'd have been nice to hang onto.
 
Tom donahoe came to work for either Blesto or the steelers in some capacity that year.. I Believe he went to work for the steelers that spring after the draft.
 
Not sure if perhaps you meant "39" years ago today? On Jan 18th 1976, the Steelers beat the Cowboys in Superbowl X in their first of two consecutive win SBs.

Liffort Hobley, one of my all-time favorite picks. 3rd rounder, cut in camp. And you guys hate Dri Archer.

wow, wonder who made those draft picks? and pretty much all the other ****** picks in the 80's.
