Traded down twice in 1st round. Golden projects as a 3\4 olb, took crisp with last pick just because hes an nc state guy. Abdullah and bell would allow us to phase brown out of the return game.

Funny old draft - never the guy there when I wanted him...

Another ILBer? would you move him outside?

I was also looking at Bo Wallace's stats, he looked interception prone. But I could understand why someone would want to replace Jones............

Another ILBer? would you move him outside?

he's a player. we need players. even if on ST for a season or two until he can crack the lineup. AJ's worth more than a 5th rounder anyway.

Round 1 Pick 22: Anthony Harris, SS, Virginia (B-) opening day starter at SS as I have little to no faith in Shamarko who is just a faster version of Lee Flowers and a poor man's Bob Sanders
Round 2 Pick 24: Ronald Darby, CB, Florida State (B-) big physical CB with the top end straight line speed to possibly by mid season start opposite of Cortez
Round 3 Pick 28 (DAL): Tony Washington, OLB, Oregon (C+) Edge rusher a project, could when butler mixes things play him asa DE too.
Round 4 Pick 22: Austin Shepherd, OT, Alabama (C) 6"5 320 with light feat cant ask for a better frame to play LT, he sits a year or 2 provides great depth, better than Adams at LT.
Round 4 Pick 28 (DAL): Eric Rowe, CB, Utah (C-) Another big fast CB with top end speed a must today.
Round 5 Pick 24: C.J. Uzomah, TE, Auburn (E) reached here but a solid run blocker easily replaces Speath asa blocker and will finally get a chance to catch the ball with Ben.
Round 5 Pick 28 (DAL): Malcolm Brown, RB, Texas (B-)
Round 6 Pick 23: Brandon Ivory, DT, Alabama (D-) future apperient to Mclendon
Round 7 Pick 22: Leon Brown, OG, Alabama (D-) a lighter version of Ramon Foster

Did'nt get the CB I wanted so I settled for the SS I wanted as a must.

Round 2 Pick 6 (WASH): Hauoli Kikaha, OLB, Washington (B+)
Didn't like what was there at 22 so traded down and still got a good pass rusher.

Round 2 Pick 24: Anthony Harris, SS, Virginia (A)
Playmaker at safety.

Round 3 Pick 3 (JAX): Nick O'Leary, TE, Florida State (B)
Sure handed TE.

Round 3 Pick 12 (MINN): Lorenzo Doss, CB, Tulane (B)
Ballhawk CB.

Round 3 Pick 23: Gerod Holliman, FS, Louisville (A-)
Ballhawk FS.

Round 3 Pick 29 (DEN): Quinten Rollins, CB, Miami (Ohio) (C)
huge upside for a CB.

Round 4 Pick 6 (WASH): Donovan Smith, OT, Penn State (B-)
Natural athlete I think would work well in Munchaks zone offense.

Round 4 Pick 22: Cameron Artis-Payne, RB, Auburn (A)
Gives us a true backup behind Bell.

Round 5 Pick 5 (WASH): Brian Mihalik, DE, Boston College (F)
Dude is 6-9.

Round 5 Pick 24: Shaquille Riddick, DE, West Virginia (F)
Tons of upside.

Round 6 Pick 23: Antwan Goodley, WR, Baylor (A)
Hines Ward type player.

Round 7 Pick 22: Mike Sadler, P, Michigan State (C+)
We need a punter.

Fun game:

Your score is: 4519 (GRADE: B+)

Your Picks:
Round 2 Pick 4 (JAX): Dorial Green-Beckham, WR, Oklahoma (A) - If his head is now screwed on right, we just got a great player who would've been a top 10
Round 2 Pick 25 (CAR): Owamagbe Odighizuwa, DE, UCLA (B+) - Just love this guys strength and tape especially considering what he's been through and could get alot quicker fast
Round 3 Pick 3 (JAX): Cam Thomas, CB, Western Kentucky (C-) - Has the prototypical size and length to do what we need here
Round 3 Pick 23: Ben Koyack, TE, Notre Dame (B) - Heath cannot last forever and this guy can block some too
Round 4 Pick 4 (JAX): Doran Grant, CB, Ohio State (B) - Another size, length prospect with some "chops"
Round 4 Pick 22: Jeremy Langford, RB, Michigan State (A) - Bell's replacement at MSU to keep him out of trouble. Nice player too
Round 4 Pick 27 (IND): Kurtis Drummond, FS, Michigan State (A) - Another really stand-out player who has ball skills and size to play either S position.
Round 5 Pick 24: Antwan Goodley, WR, Baylor (C-) - This kid is just solid and dependable in big games
Round 5 Pick 25 (CAR): Corey Robinson, OT, South Carolina (B) - If he can get in prime shape, he can play outside but might still be the most dominant run blocker in college football.
Round 6 Pick 23: Sean Hickey, OT, Syracuse (D+) - Technician who would have gone early last yr. Fell of this year with some correctable issues - could be a sleeper
Round 7 Pick 22: Chucky Hunter, DT, TCU (A) - Could be a 4-3 DT with quickness to spell our starters in sub-package sets
Round 7 Pick 28 (IND): Bo Wallace, QB, Ole Miss (B) - Please send Jones packing. This guy is better...even when he isn't.

Took the picks - Law of averages says SOMEBODY will turn out to be better than expected

like it,,,,,,(especially the TE and T and RB) what did you like about Jake Ryan ?

like it,,,,,,(especially the TE and T and RB) what did you like about Jake Ryan ?

Slash, first let me say this I don't follow college football but this time of the year I start watching the bowl games and start looking at guys that we may be interested in. So with that said what I found on Ryan was a pretty good player a few years ago and an injury has slowed him a bit and that could help us get a good player later in the draft. The little I read about him says he has a nose for the ball and has a flare for the strip, needs work in pass coverage but who don't? Walterfootall says this: Ryan recorded 37 tackles, 11 tackles for a loss, three sacks and one forced fumble in 2011. He is a pure football player with toughness, intelligence and good instincts.

Now every year I get excited about mid round players. Last year TMC(wish he was here) opened my eyes on DT Ellis and I liked him a ton. I also liked a few other guys like Moncrief, Cockrell and Boston. This years guy is Tony Lippett, anyone have thoughts on him? I know we don't need help on the offense but that don't mean we stop drafting players. What I like about this guy is he was a two way player and I feel that could help him at the next level.

this i like

No trades:

Round 1 Pick 22: Danny Shelton, DT, Washington (A)
A monster for the middle of the defense. Capable run stopper and pass rusher. Can play all three downs.

Round 2 Pick 24: Alex Carter, CB, Stanford (A)
No cornerbacks worth taking in the first, so I get a good prospect with starter potential in the second.

Round 3 Pick 23: Markus Golden, DE, Missouri (A)
With a long development track, grabbing a pass rusher with upside in the third is the perfect place.

Round 4 Pick 22: Jeremy Langford, RB, Michigan State (A)
Need a backup running back, go after another MSU product.

Round 5 Pick 24: Jamison Crowder, WR, Duke (B+)
Love his game. Small, but quick. Electric on special teams and plays bigger than his size.

Round 6 Pick 23: Quandre Diggs, CB, Texas (C+)
Double dip to build depth at cornerback.

Round 7 Pick 22: Eric Lefeld, OT, Cincinnati (C-)
Always look to build depth along the offensive line.

Bo Wallace is better than Landry Jones.
