Cardale Jones to make NFL draft announcement at 4 p.m.

He is in a "bad" spot. Goto OSU and maybe / maybe not play. Or he can enter the draft and more than likely sit. If he goes to the draft and has to sit I am not sure if he has the mentality to really study and improve. From reports he was in Meyer's doghouse for a while, but really buckled down when he became starter. If i were him i would go pro and take the money and hopefully he will mature. I think he needs to goto a well established organization who doesnt put up with a lot of outside BS.

Well back in 2000, it was a slightly different game. You didnt really need a 'franchise' QB to be competitive. It helped- but a a good defense and solid running game was far more important. In fact, there were 12 QB's selected that year, and only 3 came before round 4...

With the rules today, you need a franchise QB just to get to the playoff's.

As for the lack of tape? While he only played 3 games- those happened to be the biggest 3 games of college football.

Mitchell had one good year of tape. See how that ended this year?

Not saying the guy is a bust, but for me I would prefer my draft-able 1 -5 have some experience.............. Hell even then we have what reads did he use? A complete or a watered down playbook ?

I realize the importance of a franchise qb. I also realize the importance of clubs doing their homework to make the right selections. Not sure this guy is anything more than a flash in the pan.

no not me man. Those crab legs say so. That table jumping ***** outbursts say so. Those rape allegations say so. I am just doing the math and it is all adding up.............

you're giving your opinion on the matter, and that's fine. I just happen to disagree with you, that's all. No worries, friend.

i will even go one further. A team like the Steelers for example with a recent history of questionable picks. Might not want to draft a QB with little to no film. Especially in rounds 1 thru 5.

That should be slotted for OLBers/ SS/ CBs /TEs/WRs and RBs.............

No I get how you are looking at it. That's cool. I also point toward Cleveland and the cat who picked Johnny goofball is looking for work. Now I know a 1st rounder isn't as critical as say a 5th round selection.

But none th less with a team that struggles with their picks, they don't know when that final nail will strike and it is off to find a new job. Better make those early to mid round picks stick as much as possible.

Anyone can take him besides us, the dude played behind a beast OLINE and a two hundred
yard rusher. He's big and can run, but he hasn't had to read a defense.

regarding our recent luck with Buckeyes, I'd pass on him altogether.

I would take him in the third. Let him sit behind Ben a couple of years, I truly think he has what it takes. Hell, I'd consider him in the second.

if the Steelers take this guy in any round, I'm turning **** off and doing more gardening.

Hell, neither has Mariotta. And that guy is projected to go top 3.

so which position are you willing to ignore for a third string QB?
