Lebeau to the Cardinals?

I must say, Bruce A has done a heck of a job. Hi to all who remember me. You could say I'm back for a 2nd tour in these parts.

looking forward to your wonderful draft insights.

If the Cards lose their DC, maybe...

Otherwise, as much as I'd hate to see it, he'd be a great fit in Cincy. Again they may not have the horses, but they could use a scheme. He's been there before and they were pretty decent then.
They SUUUUuuuckkk now, so could be a likely destination.

PEACE

Nope! Wall space has been reserved. Troy should have been cut last season....use the cap space on Revis, and we would have been better. You're memory is pretty good.

Word is that the Cards DC might be up for some of the open HC jobs. Expect The Bruce to pay whatever it takes to bring in anyone from the Steelers.

It's still there, but I am no longer an owner/operator.
I am no longer married either.

You do the math ;0

I'd imaging own a bar and being married could be a hard line to toe.

What ever happened to that player with the big head? Troy something I think.

Welcome back Coach,

So you're implying we should stick with the 3-4?

Bowles poised to be head coach of the Jets. Arians probably rolling out the red carpet for LeBeau as we speak.

We got lucky and didn't have to face the Pats* in the playoffs either of those years or 2010. I have exactly zero confidence we get to the SB's if we did.
so? should we give our rings back? 2008 was a great defense, maybe an all-time great defense. everyone talks about the 2000 ravens defense, but they played a cake schedule that year. the 2008 and 1976 steeler defenses are the only two defenses to give up less than 4 yards per play for the season, not the 2000 ravens, not the 2013 seahawks, not the 85 bears.

May God have mercy upon Kaepernick, Wilson and .....Shaun Hill?....if he does go there.

I suspect you may have posted this in the wrong thread.

If not, then go to the Konrad thread and note, "Lebeau would have swum the 9 miles in an hour."

Hahaha I just realized my dumbass posted this in the wrong thread, thanks Steetime :D

But yeah, that konrad story gives me chills

No way. Is it really THE coach???

Just heard on KDKA that the Cards DC was hired as a head coach -- so that position is open in AZ

Radio in Pittsburgh is reporting that radio in Phoenix is reporting that DLB has been hired as a "defensive consultant" but not exactly as defensive coordinator. Let's hope Ben knows what to do with that 10 yard cushion.

Cardinals want Dick LeBeau for “senior position”

Cardinals coach would like to hire former Steelers coordinator Dick LeBeau for a senior position on staff.

Cardinals coach Bruce Arians plans to promote a current assistant to replace Todd Bowles as defensive coordinator and would like to hire former Steelers coordinator Dick LeBeau for a senior position on staff, according to NFL sources.

It's unknown which assistant will be tabbed to replace Bowles, who was hired as the Jets head coach on Tuesday.

LeBeau and Arians were assistants together with the Steelers. LeBeau's role with the Cardinals would be similar to what assistant head coach Tom Moore does on the offensive side of the ball.

The performance of the Steelers' defense has slipped in recent years, but many of team's draft picks have not panned out.

It is not a given LeBeau will accept Arians' offer. He has close ties to the Cincinnati area and has never coached west of the Mississippi River.

LeBeau could have other options, too. Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt might try to hire LeBeau in a similar capacity. When he coached the Cardinals, Whisenhunt tried to hire LeBeau, who opted to remain with the Steelers.
