Notable steelers Roster cuts

Waiting for the Kendrick Green cut post...

Not a Steeler cut but might look good here
ILB Ty Summers recently cut by Packers

I can think of a guy he could replace

Decent depth to push Spillane and plays solid STs, kinda the scrap heap type of guy we look at

Buddy Johnson was just an infuriating pick in the fourth last year… all athletic ability no real fundamentals or instinct.. he flashed a little here and there, but he just was so raw.. they should have drafted loudermilk with that pick and taken him later if still available

Three cuts left… these are going to be painful… I almost assure you trades are being discussed right now

Players that haven’t been cut yet that are probably sweating bullets
Trent Scott, though with haeg in concussion protocols he may well have to make it
Layne
Boykin and Sims… i just don’t think that they will carry all seven wrs and 3 tes and 4 rbs and a fb

never should have been drafted. A classic Colbert **** up to take Muth and pass on Creed.
Drafting muth wasnt the fuckup… taking Harris with no oline was the fuckup.. they should have traded down into the top of the second or very bottom of the first and selected Creed there, then taken muth… and used that third they spent on green for a Rb…

If they keep Bush, I don't hold out much hope for this season - it means they are committed to mediocrity.

Sounds like the Steelers have some guys going to IR like Kazee, so they are going to pull the old vested vet shuffle… cut a couple of guys not subject to waivers, put everyone on IR, then resign the cut vets with the open spaces later

Steelers are keeping (initially): WRs Calvin Austin, Miles Boykin and Steven Sims, FB Derek Watt, OLs Kendrick Green, Joe Haeg and Trent Scott, DT Montravius Adams, ILB Marcus Allen, OLB Derrek Tuszka, CBs James Pierre and Justin Layne, S Damontae Kazee.

Any OL that Trent Scott can make is a complete POS

Being saying it since the day they signed him. Yeah, yeah yeah I know but he knows Meyer’s POs system from sucking in it last year so there’s that

Our OL is looking like so many Detroit Lions teams..:very sad

Is Munch still available??? Not to coach, I think he could legit start AND be an upgrade

Tj is really keeping his brother on the roster, no way Derek should be making this team, he might not even be healthy enough to play in week 1.
I was gonna ask if he played a single offensive snap in the preseason, but not seeing him out there is standard so I never questioned it. 100% only here cuz TJ, great message to all the guys fighting for spots 48-53 that are out there playing their ***** off…at least it’s not like we could reallocate the cap space and roster spot for a OL or something, who needs that?

Of course they are keeping Bush. They aren't cutting him. His salary is guaranteed. He may not start but he certainly isn't getting cut. They have no one to replace him.

Best C in the draft with Pouncey retiring and they drafted RB, TE and then a converted guard with short arms....they ****** up hard. Could have got Creed without doing any trades. Didn't necessarily need the TE right there, and certainly not at the expense of the entire offense without a steady C. The lineage of Steeler centers was killed by Colbert.

per roster cuts tracker on NFL.com the Steelers are making a trade with the Broncos for LB Malik Reed.

Sure but the reality of the current nfl is that a stud Te is more valuable than a stud rb, because the difference between a great rb and an average one is far less significant than that gap between a star te and an average one… to be honest, Te is more valuable than Center too…center isn’t though of as a high impact position…

Why we would spend a first on a Rb with no solid oline is beyond me… creed should have been the pick, we just should have traded down to make it. By the time Humpfries is retired, najeh will have likely been out of the league for half a decade
