Tomlin rips O line

Yeah, they won the Super Bowl in '08 with it. Barely. That was 14 years ago. How's it been performing lately?

That greater pass rush has also resulted in one of the worst run defenses in the entire league over the past few years.

Try again.
Im just giving you the stuff they will say when he goes into the hall… he has the luxury of having coached in an era when the only two surefire hall of fame coaches have serious black marks on them, BB had the cheating and Reid had all the knocks tomlin did after 15 years ( and more after about 20) except he hadn’t won a super bowl…

Tomlin is a pretty much lock for the hall of fame at this point. He has been to two super bowls and another conference championship. if he averages just 8 wins over his next five years in coaching, he will finish ahead of Chuck noll in coaching wins… even if he got fired here ( and with a new qb, thats at least 3 seasons away, he would absolutely get a shot elsewhere for at least a few years.

Im fairly certain his credentials are set for canton now.. the press loves him too

No doubt.

There are ZERO coaches in the HOF with a losing playoff record. Tomlin is not in and won't get in.

Man if he ripped the oline after the Jags game what is he going to do now?

Hopefully trade two of our weapons (Package deal Rudoph & Bush) to get a starting left tackle.!

I wonder if Leon Searcy would come out of retirement

And a starting
LG and RG
GET real, you're not going to get three starters for those two 1-QB & 1-clown we are trading.

I know we need the additional positions you pose but it would cost more than the two I suggest for trade.

I know that just pointing out the obvious that the Steelers OL is in need of 3 starters...

I don't think the offensive line stepped up to the challenge this week. The pass protection was a little better against a weaker defensive front. Run blocking is still non-existent for this unit. With Green out of the starting lineup, Dan Moore is by far the worst lineman out there. He once again allowed pressure and took multiple penalties. I really hope the Steelers do some work to find someone who can come in and play left tackle because Moore is not the answer.

Maybe MT has 'Flashdance' Banner on speed dial. Just waiting for the right moment to make the call 📞.

I have no clue why we are not looking at Eric Fisher though. He was still pretty good in KC and got injured, but he HAS to be better than what we got.

I’ve got a brilliant idea
Draft a tackle or two, a guard or two and maybe a center!!!

Oops too late for that

I think it’s starting to show that our top 4 draft picks (of the 8 total drafted) on the OL in the last 10 years (Green, Moore, Dotson and Hawkins) are really paying dividends…for every opposing defense!

**** Hawkins looked the best out there tonight…the only one that didn’t look like a sieve as an incomplete grade looks better than the negatives the other 3 that remain here are putting up.

You can’t convince me there aren’t better options sitting out there currently as free agents and many more better options about to be cut.

And our OL coach was a joke last year producing one of the worst OLs in the league and he is repeating his body of work here. Piece of **** signing

Look, the OL coach, from what I have read and heard, is trying to teach a technique of not being passive. To fire out and engage even in pass protection, instead of giving ground right away. It may take a little time for the players to really get it. They need more games playing it. But I think with this you have to find players that can do it, and maybe they don't have those guys. But I think that may preclude them from signing certain guys we think might improve things.

Also, I think a lot of the appearance of the OL is on the offensive coordinator. You gotta keep the DL off balance a little. I think the Steelers have been terrible at this the last few years. If that improves, the OL will look a lot better.

Ruhroh are you off the Moore wagon?

I advocated for him last year due to his "Underdogness", this year he has the job but can't perform up to par.......... I still want him to succeed but he also can't be the weak link. I'd call out any player that needs a boost.
