IF Dick LeBeau gets a job somewhere else will any Steelers going into free agency follow?

Troy
Harrison
Ike Taylor
Worilds
Keisel
McCain
Will Allen

Who else?

I think Troy, Harrison, Keisel, and Taylor are going to retire. I find it interesting neither Troy or Harrison have posted anything about it on their FB.

I wonder if Porter would follow LeBeau...

that's a lot of players to replace, but none I'd be upset about. It would suck, but most of them will decide to retire. Like DL, they are no spring chickens.

And most are FA's or on the last of a reworked 2 year deal. I would laugh my *** off if Dick sign with someone and Worilds followed him there.

I think Troy, Harrison, Taylor and Keisel (has one year left I believe) were done regardless. Loved everything they brought to the team, but the Steelers need to return to getting rid of guys a year too soon rather than a year too late.

I don't see what Worilds would bring to the team besides a veteran presence. Not a dynamic pass rusher or run stopper and does not doing anything impressive in coverage. He is a guy who adds to his numbers with unblocked sacks.

McCain and Blake are two valuable depth players who are cheap and can play in a pinch. A nice duo for the No. 4 and 5 spots.

The Steelers need to break from Allen at some point, but he is good enough in a backup role that he sticks around for at least one more season. Knowing how this team operates, he may even start over Shamarko.
Will Allen

And probably a big reason Dick decided to go. Those are "his guys" and they are on their way out the door. Probably wanted to leave with them.

I don't see coach Lebeau getting any offers to coach anywhere. He was a great coach but at nearly 80 teams know he isn't going to have a long time left to work.

Who cares, really. None of them are worth holding onto.

I think Worilds is a solid number 2 rusher and can drop into coverage............ But he isn't a superstar by any means.

I do not think there will be any place to follow Dick. No one is going to hire a 77 year old DC at this point.

Forget where I was reading this, but possibly a consulting role, maybe with Arians or Whisenhunt.

When Dick ends up in AZ, yes, Steelers will follow...

Worilds wants too much money. I saw some reporter saying he would get $7 million per. That is ludicrous. He has shown to only be worth $4 or maybe $5 million and that is on the top side. I wouldn't pay him $7 milion.

Going to be interesting on the replacement and how the Steelers address the needs on defense. To many key position that need fixed. Doubt troy will be back Taylor could have been gone this year and we bring in Harrison and Keisel which I can't see being there next year. Tomlin has his work cut out for him as well as the Rooney's.

Bring in two pass rushers and a corner. Get rid of Allen's contract. Let Ike and Polamalu go.
Re-sign Will Allen to a multi year contract for depth.sign a backup veteran RB.

The team has its work cut out for them. But if they sign the right people, it is doable that the D will be improved............

That should be easy enough.

well Worilds is a UFA, as well as two OLBers. So if you bring back Moats, and then sign one impact OLBer I think it is doable.

Sometimes things like this need to happen to be able to rebuild.

Losing LeBeau, Harrison, Taylor, Troy is a necessary evil for this team to move forward. Draft aggressive play makers and lets get back to a nasty defense once again.

If he at least were solid against the run he would be worth it but the guy is just too inconsistent

Against the run and pass. He is below average at both in my opinion. In two seasons, he has looked decent for less than 16 games. I see no reason why he would think he is worth that kind of money or why anyone else would either. I'd rather take my chances on someone else than tie up $7 million per in cap space for him.

Yeap he isn't good against the pass either but what I meant is that If at least he were very good againt the run and gives you 7 sacks a year he would be worth those 7 mill
