FIRE CANADA!!!!!!!

This has got to be the dumbest game plan I ever witnessed. We ridiculed Cleveland last week for coming in with a passing game plan when the Steelers were so bad against the run. So what does Tomlin do? Comes in with running game plan when the Ravens are MUCH worse against the pass. I would have told Ben...it's your show. You call the plays and have fun.

It's also his last game potentially. Let him go out as a gunslinger. Instead....Canada's AWEfense rules the day and costs us dearly.

Tomlin wasting talent is a pattern we need to break.

The Mikey Shades experiment should be over.

said it in the game thread, tackle goes in motion, it's an RPO. I have yet to see one produce more than a couple yards, and most of the time it's a negative play... I seriously wonder how many of our 2nd downs this year were 8+ yards.

When your owner tells you to fix the running game and you finish dead last in running that usually means change should come, someone who has drank less than me today could do the math, but I bet they're averaging less than 7 points and 150 yards total offense in the first half in the last 1/4 of the season-thats called regression.

An interim oline coach has them playing a little better, why not fire Canada now? Couldn't go any worse than the last game at Kansas City...

Even with limited talent, Canada's offense is so far behind where it needs to be. The Steelers need a real NFL offensive mind running the offense.
I think the only place we have limited talent is on the OL. Our WR group is solid from a talent standpoint, the WR's have regressed greatly since the passing of Coach Drake.

OL, QB, and slot receiver.

Ben bails their ***** out again.

As I recall, the owner told them to fix the running game after the season for the past three years.
However the same owner is unlikely to fire an assistant coach who is still under contract and pay him not to work for a year no matter how bad he is.
Do I think Art II would keep an obviously horrible OC on the staff just to save a few bucks? Yes, absolutely.

I question if Canada’s offense would work in little league. It’s SOOOOO painful to even watch. It fools absolutely nobody and even though he’s not what he once was, you can’t tell me Ben can’t throw further than 3 yards on majority of pass plays. Coaches have to be absolutely laughing hysterically as they watch film to prepare for us each week.

Well, Canada has two years on his contract so..........

Yes, everything you said here is sadly right, just goes to show the commitment to winning right now

I was talking about the roster this year.
This year? Then I don't see how you list QB and WR... We have talent, Ben still has an arm, and if he was given the time to make plays down the field, he most certainly can make the throws. Everyone makes a big deal about him being a statue, Manning was a statue his entire career, Brady much of the same. Ben had trouble moving around in the pocket because it would collapse so fast.

And again, we have a talented WR group, but we do not have a good quality WR coach. DJ had 107 catches for 1,100+ yards and 8 TD's, Claypool with 59 for 860. And remember this is with Canada and his horizontal offense. His offense sucks, plain and simple. Doesn't matter what QB he gets, it's not an NFL offense.

Same can be said about special teams. I watched Harvin today very closely, and it looks to me like Danny Big League Chew Smith completely tried to change his mechanics. When was the last time we had good blocking on a punt return? Our coverage has been weak for years as well. Somehow they keep bringing him back. As much a60s Ben covers up a lot for Tomlin, I think Boz does the same for Smith.

And just to further throw more info out there, Ben lead the league in fourth quarter passing, the Steelers were number 2 in fourth quarter scoring. Coincidentally, when Ben was in no huddle and running the show...

Anyone who is honest with themselves knows that Ben is limited at QB. Once JuJu went out, the receiver depth chart was depleted. Ray Ray McCloud in the slot and getting significant looks is not good. Johnson was good for most of the season, but Claypool was a disappointment.

I still say fire Canada but with that win in spite of him once again, nothing will happen.

You are learning young Padawan.

It's been said by other teams players that our offense and defense are the easiest to prepare for and against, ...... in the entire league. Been thjast way for awhile now.

If it were up to me he would be spending them painting the entire stadium, except game days I'd send him home................to Canada

Limited in his movement, I saw him make some incredible throws this year. Hell the one to Muth on the OT drive was a freaking laser on a dime. Anyone who is honest with themselves still saw that a limited Ben is still a top QB in the league with an OL and a competent OC.

This is a significant limitation. I love Ben, I'm glad he came back, but I'm also read about where he's at as a QB this year.

Steelers points at halftime for their last seven games: 3, 3, 0, 3, 0, 10, 3. That's 3.1 points per half, or the equivalent of 22 points in three-and-a-half games. Incredibly anemic.

0, 7, 7, 10, 17, 14, 3, 14, 10, 10 are the scores in the other ten games, for a total of 114 first half points. If you double that (for two halves), it's 228. Which would put them last in the league behind the #32 Jags (253), the #31 Giants (258) and #30 Texans (280). Even the New York Football Jets managed to score 310 points this year.

Just pathetic. And I'm sure they're well under 150 yards per first half, but I don't feel like researching it. They had 82 today.
