QBR... Useful or utter BS?

Look I will be the first to say that Passer rating never tells the whole story for a QB, but is anyone else utterly agitated by ESPN's QBR stat? its completely subjective and they pass it off like a legit advanced stat... you simply cant put the subjective stuff in there especially without knowing the intricacies of the play called.

See in my mind its just BS and I wish fans had taken a harder "**** off" stance to it so that worthless channel would have run from the bad PR and buried it like they do....

When looking at quarterback stats, I've never once used QBR to compare players.

It is a stat and that is all. Some sports are better suited to statistical comparisons than others, and many stats are really rather useless in football.

there is so much that can go into that it needs to be kept in context.

One that I always found to be useful was red zone efficiency. Points scored by an offense per possession. TD to interceptions.

No statement was ever more true. It's ESPN and every show they have that promotes it in goal of replacing QB rating standard. They already promote their views - very contrived and manipulated - and most definitely the CORPORATE line. Original thoughts have been gone for 20 years.....

Now a days fan, isn't that smart to begin with. There are many, who have been feed the ESPN line of bullshit, their entire fan career. They don't know what it was like in the good O'l days. Remember i think it was 1979 when espn started. The PITTSBUrgH STEELERS turned down a Super Bowl winner interview special to them. They blew em off as they were just a little pimple. Cris Berman, took it personal, has been grudged, along with many others over that incident. Fluck espn and their self promoting BS. I get into an arguement once in awhile, and the guy i'm argueing with, ONLY knows the espn garbage. Like he doesn't watch the actuaql game, lets espn tell him the out come. Can't make a "call" on his own. What a joke, some of these comon modern "fans" are. So just so I'm very clear, ESPN SUCKS !!
