James Washington Requests Trade

I get it. Contract year and buried on the depth chart. Great guy and always comes to work. With that being said I wouldn’t just be willing to give him away either. If they can get a good return for him then maybe but if someone were to go down or struggle to catch the football then he’s seeing a lot more play time on a team and QB he’s familiar with and gives him the best chance to show case what he has for his next contract. He needs to be careful on asking for a trade because who knows where he might end up.
 
James should also know that NOT every team has a BEN ROETHLISBERGER throwing to them. to showcase his talents you couldn't ask for a better QB.

I like James and wish him good luck in what transpires for him BUT also know that when he leaves or discontinues being a STEELERS player then I no longer watch / care his way.

I think it’s understandable frustration on James’ part. He want more snaps and Tomlin needs to get him more involved. Don’t give him away for a late round pick. I mean if one of the other three go down or D Johnson gets the dropsies again then what? You’re probably going to lose JuJu after the season, D Johnson is not consistent so don’t screw yourself by giving this guy away. Give him
more opportunities and let him get more involved.

He reminds me a little of Frank Lewis back in the day. Lewis was a nice player, but not to the level of Swann and Stallworth. Then in '77 when they drafted Jim Smith and had Theo Bell, both who could do other things, he became expendable.

The Steelers traded Lewis to the Bills where he really had some good years.

None of those ******* talking heads are held accountable to any degree. I use to have respect for a few different ones over the years and Shefter being one of them but I've given up on all or near all of them. Wasn't it Shefter who reported Ben Roethlisberger retirement a few yesrs back ? I liked the raiders general manager (mike something i think) but then he got out of the talking head busines and became a GM.

I know we speculate here a lot but on some subjects we seem to be more accurate than these so called paid experts.

Maybe I should go to CANADA and get some Ice cold Molson BEER or do I have to wait for winter to get that?

Schefter was also the brainiac that "broke the story" that Clay Matthews was the NFL Defensive Player of Year in 2010, when in fact, it turned out to be Troy
 
Lol supposedly Washington had the practice of his life after that rumor broke

the world is a changing ... Vancouver is the new Canadian hotspot ...... this past winter was pretty mild .... I think Texas got colder temps
I am vacationing at the largest fresh water beach in the world..... the water has pushed inland so much in the last 2 years it reconstructed the beach affecting businesses and covering over roads with sand.
