The Steelers put the pads on for the first time this off season on Wednesday. With that came the first look at Najee Harris in pads… And boy he didn’t disappoint. Check out these two videos posted by Steelers World – Wide on Twitter.

On this play Harris beats Devin Bush on a slant and uses his big body to box out Bush for the touchdown.

Another big play from Najee yesterday. Goes out wide, catches the slant and bodies Bush for the TD. Bush is not happy

Thanks Justin,

I think Bush rode Najee into the endzone late and then still pushed him done. Shows Bush's frustration and hopefully drives him to be more determined in his dicipline of hard work and twit celebritynism.

Salute the nation

Iron sharpens iron. I think we are seeing Harris is going to be a physical presence and an upgrade on anything from last season. I think the Oline is still a work in motion.

I see a guy with lots of ability...but still needs to know the game...you see Ben directing him further and further wide so he is able to get the angle he needs on the slant

Sure... he has some time to flatten out some ruffles on the ol ironing board. RB and WR are two positions that you can get on the field a little quicker. He has preseason at his disposal and being stamped with the type of solid work ethic reportably... I would like those odds of his readiness coming to fruition.

Devin Bush can't cover? Every TE he's been assigned to cover could tell you that.

Well, in his defense, that particular ultra-quick slant is pretty hard for even a DB to cover. Not debating the TE comment though.

Would be great to have a balanced offense again. Hopefully he pans out.
