I think a few things. He will only get benched if he regresses into serious suck.
1. Ben's arm will be fully healed and I think he will be better than last year.
2. On his best day Mason is not as good as Ben at 50%.
3. The OL is a question mark.

That's a bingo.
That is how his season will go whichever direction his legs go. Hopefully he is being honest with himself. But we have seen many times before a player not know when to call it quits. Hopefully the front office is front and center on their assessment.3) Ron, I think that offensive line will come together better than most think. It will be better "questionable" than last year's version.
2) and some here think Haskins is better than Rudolf. Haskins ONLY has potential currently, could develope and just as easily not develope.
1) Not only is BEN's arm healed but also his knee injury should be much better as well.
Salute the nation
True, it's not like they were good last year. Realistically only one starter is coming back (Chuks) and he only became a starter last year. Finney was a good backup who played a fair bit and Banner was on IR most of last year. Everyone else will be new. Might take a while to jell.3) Ron, I think that offensive line will come together better than most think. It will be better "questionable" than last year's version.
I think this year's iteration of the Steelers will be highly dependent on how bad the injury bug bites them, not only are there several question marks as projected starters the lack of depth at key positions is borderline alarming
Ben's health and durability is the difference between playoff contention and Tomlin's precious record being broken
