BREAKING: Training Camp Will Not Be Held in Latrobe

The Pittsburgh Steelers just announced that training camp will not be taking place in Latrobe at St Vincent’s College where it normally is:

It will now be held at Heinz Field and the Rooney Sports Complex for the second year in a row. This is all due to Covid-19 protocols that are still in effect regardless of the recent guidelines by the CDC being changed. We will continue to update with further news on the matter if it comes.

So the Cowboys can go to California for camp. Pittsburgh is having it's 4th of July celebration with a **** ton of people, but Steelers can't have training camp in Latrobe?
KC is holding their training camp at a College University
 
Now it's getting pathetic. They probably should not have any fans in the stands this year as well. Just for the sake of safety. Nobody should leave the house,ride in a car,ride a bus,fly in a plane,never cross a street,stay indoors when it's cold,icy or rainy outside. You could slip or fall, your bus could crash,your plane could crash. Let's go with respirators and full biohazard suits. So many pathogens in the world,it's best to be safe&fully secure at all times.

People should not play collision sports either. It's really dangerous, you will absolutely get injured. Then you may need surgery. That **** could get infected with MRSA and you could die. You could die while under anesthesia. Best to play it safe. Video game football should be the way to go because even if we have one person get as much as a bruise,that is just too much. It's not worth the risk.

You should probably avoid all intersections with your vehicle. They're super ******* dangerous and you could die. A lot of accidents happen in them.

In fact, you should probably stick to driving around 20 mph. That's probably a safe enough speed you'll survive if you crash from a tire blowout.


Do not swim in the ocean. It has sharks. They could eat you. Sea Snakes are deadly. You shouldn't be in the sun either,it ages you and you could get cancer. Speaking of cancer? So many things are toxic in products we use.. scary stuff..You should probably just rub organic purified dirt and mountain Springwater on yourself inside of your germ free bubble.You had better rethink your entire diet right now.. There's so many cancers related to dietary intake. You must be safe at ALL times in everything.
You have to follow the science at all times and listen to whatever they say, they would never ever ever lead anyone astray or cover for any particular group. People do not know what is best for themselves

Not sure what the issue is, the county positivity rate is currently only 2.2% and trending downward. Students will be on summer break as well.
 
Its a damn shame this generation of Rooney seems to have a jellyfish for a spine... if its good for everyone else its fine for the Steelers too... what dumbfuckery did tge nfl concoct to justify this decision....

Total bullshit and catering to extreme liberal snowflakes. There is no reason not to get on with life. Everyone can be vaccinated that wants to. No protocols are needed anymore. It's all on you. My guess is stadiums won't be 100% either if they are doing this for camp. I'm tired of Fauci, the lying liberals, and their mainstream media.

i think this is all about the delta +. A 'Yankees' situation is something they really want to avoid at all cost.
 
Yeah, the delta variant is why the Cowboys are going to the most infected state in the nation, but the Steelers aren't allowed to practice in Latrobe.
 
I don't understand why the NFL is allowing these other teams to travel but not the Steelers, who are at the top of the league in vaccination rates as well.
 
Not just the fans but the entire township of Latrobe will be affected. It is a heavy finacial booster causing their economy to flurish durring TC (training camp) time. I'm sure many would have welcomed with open arms for them to have been coming. Not to mention the "FANs" that would interact and build loyalty towards our beloved STEELERS.

Why the hell are they sticking their noses in to where the Steelers go for training camp. Are they doing the same thing to the Cowboys and even the Chiefs? Where are the rest of the teams going for training camp. It would be pretty screwed up to have a say in the Steelers not going to Latrobe but stay "mum" on all the other 31 teams!!!
 
Consperacy therory:

They realize how much better it is for the STEELERS to become a better team while at Latrobe. They know the history involved and want to completely break down this storied franchise starting with some of the roots.

wig: inner deamon b*b kr*ft couldn't find a massage parlor there last year while he and camera crew were shooting neighborhood property line disputes. b*b realized that this wasn't a good spot for the steelers and has since had his boy roger work to break the franchise ever since.

I know this is touchy subject but tge team came out 11-0 after training camp last year. And wouldn't you see things a whole lot better attending practice at Heinz with raised seating.

Probably from a pure training standpoint,. HF would be better but training camp at St Vincent's was more like a boot camp where the bonds between teammates were formed, sort of like being in the trenches. Of course that was a different day so I'm not sure exactly how much to the extreme they are pushed now. Back in the day the dorms didn't have A/C from what I recall. So it was pure hell for several weeks under Noll and Cowher. It was also a great opportunity for the team to interact with the fans and vice versa. It helped show them who the Steelers are representing when they take the field.

Again it's a different day and age, unfortunately.

Yeah. I am sure this will light a fire. I wouldn't be surprised if they never went back to Latrobe. You started having players living off campus anyways.
