Ummm, not good.

The suspended license thing is essentially nothing. It happens to a lot of people. What bothers me a bit is the fact the mug shot shows his DOB as January 12, and a lot of states have your license expire on your birthday as a reminder. If his license expired three months ago - what the ...?

The gun charge - did he have the thing out in plain view? If an officer pulls you over for speeding and your license is expired, you get a ticket. How would the cop even know of the gun?
Expired is not the same as suspended. Suspended means he has some serious violations or didn't pay a previous ticket or something

Yep... looks like we’re drafting dbs as a major priority.
Oh God no. More evidence that Tombert simply cannot draft and develop DB’s.

What is your take on this. Steelers slap him on his hands or show him the exit?

They're due to hit on one eventually. Blind squirrels finding nuts and whatnot.

Somehow, we keep getting reminded of what a great secondary coach Tomlin was in Tampa Bay.

Tomlin should wire some of that money he's earing to Ronde Barber and John Lynch. They jumpstarted his career.

I seem to recall that in his one year as the Viking’s DC he had the unusual distinction of having the league’s best rushing defense and the league’s worst pass defense.

He was going too slow...at 120mph he gets home much faster, turn the headlights off too dumbass that way the cops don’t see you coming

I think it’s hanging around dumb people—you do dumb things.

BIG truth in these words

What was Forest Gumps line........Stupid is as stupid does.........................

The kid (layne) got a little money and a little notoriety being on the STEELERS team and everyone of his childhood friends wants to be his best friend. He thinks they are and WhoAla this is the CHYT yaz get.

In 1969 on Rt 22 between Murrysville and Delmont, that technique actually worked one night. Young and stooooopid.

We are about to find out if the Steelers think Layne is any good otherwise he'll be a former Steeler soon enough.

If I was Mr. Layne, I'd be in that front office or at the door before they even open. I'd talk directly to Mr.Rooney and find out what I can do to be more team oriented and if they had a place for me to get advice on things in my life (life coach). I'd also be hitting the JUGGS machine (it's not just for WRs) and training my *** off.

He's going to get suspended by the league but if he can't get that felony charge to go away, his NFL career is over before it really got started. What a dumb move. He has no one to blame but himself.

I had mine suspended before years ago. You know what for? Forgot all about a speeding ticket I got on Christmas eve on some remote stretch of highway driving on 95 North in South Carolina.

I had to drive up pay the ticket and fines. All good.

At least we know who's name they'll be wearing for BLM Week this year...

Like the Steelers coaching staff and front office have a clue.... he's a DB!
No DB talent has been drafted or developed in Pittsburgh in many, many years.

It's gold Jerry, GOLD!

I'm not condeming the kid but his place on the team exceeds his maturism in life.

I'm a little confused by the weapons charge. Why is it a felony to transport a firearm in your vehicle? He'll get a suspension obviously but could he get jail time?

Speeding and suspended license, probably no biggie.

They developed Mike Hilton. They drafted and developed Cam Sutton. Edmunds was drafted too high but he’s still a solid safety.

If it's legitimately registered and/or he has a permit then I don't see a problem.

Anyone fine solid citizen.

Agreed.

We shall see.

However...Mr. Layne stating "Its over, Im going down" is probably more in reference to the firearm than the registration and/or blunt.

This is a nothingburger as it is currently reported... 20 years ago you’d have never even heard about this type of incident....
