Still a lot of useful guys not finding the contracts they want.... id bet you could get a pretty good RB at fairly low cost....

Several CBs still on the market as well... including Nelson

It's amazing how the wheels fell off Gurley when he was what, 25. Dude is 27 and will probably have to sign for vet minimum as a prove-it contract. He got his big contract though.

Again, dont draft a RB in the first... they mostly have super short careers with the teams that draft them.... and they can fall off a cliff quicker than any other position

LB is 29 years old? wow time flies

Once again...

I want to bring in Larry Fitzgerald into the wide receiver room.
If just for one year. Dude has forgot more about receiving than all of our receivers together know. If I'm Claypool or DJ or whoever, I'd pick LF's brain every chance I got.

So the consensus is that Gurley is done? No tread left, even if in a different setting?

What a mentor he would be to our immature and mostly inexperience stable of young wide outs...

they would be foolish not to get him to the Burgh...

3 guys sI would bring in for the locker room and all 3 would be extra hungry for a ring
WR fitz
RB AP
CB Norman/Sherman

4 of the top ten are OT's and this team badly needs another one. If the money is right Fitz is a no brainer. Put him in the slot and let him work his vet savy and if it comes near him its a catch. They are one short of five receivers and Ray Ray lost his return luster in the second half of the season.

For me I would like them to look at LT and CB after the draft.

arthritis in his knee

Gurley’s degenerative arthritis in the knee was known by the clubs before he was drafted. It was revealed at the combine medical checks. A bunch of teams took him off their board because of it. I remember on of the networks player evaluators (Mayock maybe?) said Gurley’s shelf life was <5 years because that knee would be bone on bone early in his career.

Keep in mind that every other team will be looking after the draft aas well.........................

I'm not sure where we are on cap space as well so it might not be that they don't want to look but more of I can't buy.

Leftovers won't command big bucks. And every team will have different degrees of needs after the draft. They aren't sitting too tight against the cap plus they could always free up a little money. If you can smell what slash is cooking.🥘🍲😁👍

Lets say we sign Fitz. Fitz and JuJu are similar so not sure how they would fit on the field. Claypool, DJ, and JuJu are our best WRs which one comes off for Fitz?

Steelers better bring in a LT or a CB before giving a ready for retirement WR a spot on the roster. Sure a hometown flavor makes a good story. Conner can attest to that. A better story would be keeping Ben upright and the secondary not making opposing borderline NFL caliber QBs look like HOFers.

Fitz isn't coming here so that fantasy can fade away into the sunset................... kind of like Coach heading home from the bar in his Luxury vehicle (similar to me driving my Luxury S10 home from ..............anywhere but you'd be happy to see me)

Like slash said and I fully agree, we need way bigger options as in OL than we do another WR about to retire weather his value is on or off the field.

Why would they come here if they were looking for a ring?

Gurley was with the Rams and then the Falcons la

Didn't know that. Sucks for him but at least he was able to get one big contract out of his career. Dude was an awesome 3 down back when he was in his prime.

We by bringing ben have put all our eggs in 1 basket by this massive refinancing or we could of moved up for Lance or Fields or take Trask.
AP has been on several solid minny teams 1 gm shy of SB that Favre screwed up, played a few years in Dc shows he can still run hard in between and carry 15-20 times, Sherman Norman aging but high energy and swagger players would want to get a ring rather than chase cash., Fitz you could use for those short yard situations by going 5 wide. and how Fitz would affect juju is you could at times when they are both on together juju at Te to block
I would also add Eric Fisher for look after the draft.

What is status of Eric Fisher? LT - is he considered out for year cuz of Achilles?
