https://Invalid Link - Check SN Hom...e-agent-s-karl-joseph-to-visit-with-steelers/ Yeah that guy who recovered Pounces gaffe.

I am ok if this guy signs. We could use the depth. Similar to Mike Mitchell several years back?

NO, not similar to mike mitchell as Karl has never stood toe to thresh hold against the opposing team's locker room door in a fist fight, yes against the door.

Don't forget how worthless mitchell was as I think he went one full season without making a play, completely worthless back there and Joseph at least will hit you hard.

Salute the nation

Joseph can't cover well so he'll be a perfect fill-in for Edmunds. Seems they both can hit but not cover well.

Joseph would be an upgrade for the Steelers depth at safety. I know coverage isn't his strength, but he's a big hitter and would add value near the LOS when we have an extra DB on the field.

As explained by Dale Lolley at DK Sports, Joseph, if signed would replace Dangerfield and/or Davis in FA. I would presume they are definitely moving on from Dangerfield at the very least. Davis has visited a couple other teams. So he is could return if he gets a matched deal from another club.

I remember Joseph was a top prospect until he got injured before the draft, don't know if he never came back fully from that (knee iirc) or what.

He should be an upgrade over all and any DB backup currently on the roster

use him if we sign him like we used troy at times in his final 2 years blitzing asa MLB on the cross blitz or delay blitz

He’s a good option with Davis signing with IND.

I like that they’re kicking the tires and looking under the hood on some of these vets. They may not sign them all- but with the cap space they are dealing with, they’re doing it properly

Might be able to pull off some off the blitz assignments from the slot similar to Hilton.

Basically he seems to be a rich man’s Antoine Brooks, he’d be a good depth signing on a 2-3 year deal as insurance in case Edmunds starts thinking he needs an extremely large 2nd contract.

Are they though? Seems to be their same ol approach minus urgency of a QB on his last hurrah. They do tweak their draft approach but are sending Ben out on a patch work Oline and a secondary with new question marks. I would debate the proper approach considering Ben teeter totter-ing on retirement would be to be aggressive filling holes while freeing up space to do so. So far they haven't lived up to this approach.
