Hey guys, I'm running a poll on the Podcast Twitter and will go over it on the podcast tomorrow. Here's the link if you want to chime in:

Sorry Cope, I'm ZERO social media but my choice would be LT because without a offensive line the RB will go nowhere. I understand 1st rnd value so if the LT doesn't merrit it then RB and hope for QUALITY LT in the 2nd

Salute the nation

The Steelers do have gaping holes at all of those positions.

OT-Okorafor and Banner is very underwhelming
C-The idea that BJ Finney may be our starter means another trash year from the ground game.
RB-I'm not sure any RB can overcome the OL in its current state unless Dotson steps up and DeCastro has a bounceback year.
CB-Justin Layne or James Pierre. Steep drop off from Nelson.

I think the Steelers are okay in the defensive backfield even without a legit starter at outside corner. They still have four talented players in the secondary.

If the Steelers had an average OL, I'd say running back. They don't. Their OL is downright bad at run blocking. With that said, they won't get Harris, Etienne, or Williams with their current pick in the second.

As we saw last year, you can scheme around poor tackle play and there is a chance they could get a solid option in the second or even third round. Bad center play can destroy this OL, but great center play can elevate it from the inside out. I think this team really values elite level talent at center and I put it as my top need, though not necessarily in the first round.

what a tough choice, all of them are huge needs. Steelers must shore up one of those in free agency, I know it won't be center as they can draft a talented one in the mid rounds.
RB they won't bring a vet so it's high on need
OT somehow they trust both Chuk and Banner, I don't.
CB ok so Sutton who excelled at nickel will be forced to play outside, then who plays nickel? He moves inside and Pierre/Layne play outside? Isn't that scary?

If one of the top 3 CB is there (Surtain, Farley or Horn) even the Steelers can't screw it up, they are all so talented that they can start right away. Samuel is a very valuable player too and could drop some and be available in the 2nd round, high floor guy that could slide in inmediately too and play both nickel and outside. Don't know why but he reminds me of WJIII

LT if one of the top guys is there how can you pass up? Darrisaw and Slater for example are must picks, then there's Jenkins, Cosmi, Radunz, Vera Tucker, Eichenberg, Mayfield. Pick your flavor form the menu.

RB everyone knows and have their own horse in this race, Harris, Etienne or Williams. For me the best value is Williams in the 2nd round. But miss any of them and the value falls considerably to the next group so tough choice especially with not one proven RB currently in the roster. Probably the 1st pick comes from this position assuming the top 3 CBs and the Top 3 LT are gone.

For me, once again, try to trade down and get whoever RB is available and then in the 2nd get LT and CB. How sweet would it be to have one late 1st and two draft picks in the 2nd? So I guess my vote goes to RB just because there will be very good OT talent available in the 2nd round (I hope).

yeah I am not on social media, although I am considering joining myspace.

Left tackle is our biggest need followed by center. but there are only 3 great running backs.

1st rd Best rb
2nd best LT or center
3rd best Center or LT
4th Best blocking Tightend.

LT. Our starter for the 21 season is not on the roster right now.

I would reply to said poll but the link shows me this instead and i dont know how to fix it.

Biggest need is Center, but not needed in 1st round. Could upgrade with using 2nd thru 4th Rd pick.

They could have Barry Sanders in his prime, but with no one to block for him, it just won't matter. Gotta get the OL upgraded first and foremost.
