Figure we can use a thread for all the signings. Not just Steelers. Free agency officially begins Wednesday but as of Monday, teams can begin to negotiate which means a bunch of tentative agreements should be reached starting Monday.

Packers resigned Aaron Jones. A bit strange that they spent a 2nd rounder on AJ DIllon last year. If they planned to keep Jones, then why spend such a high pick on a RB, especially since they spent their 1 on a developmental QB. Jamal Williams is a really good #2 back. Are they unimpressed with Dillon?

Jones didn't break the bank on his contract but it's still quite a bit more than the steelers could have paid.

Guard zeitler to the ravens, 22M for 3 years with 16M guaranteed. Nice pickup for them

tendering them would have been too expensive, they might come back at vet minimun to try to earn a roster spot, there won't be much of a market for either of them
Yeah, I read the article. I guess the point was that Spillane was coming back. That is the better news in my book. Very good depth there.

yeap, great news Sarge. How do you feel about cutting Vince and bringing Williamson back? He would be a very nice complement to Bush I think

The only thing I dislike about Vince is that he is limited. He is a thumper in a league that is heavier on the pass. It's a lot of money for a guy that doesn't offer much in pass coverage. As far as Avery Williamson, I wasn't really impressed with the guy. Like Williams, his pass coverage is limited. He had a couple nice games, but most of the time he was meh. Perhaps playing along side a guy like Bush would help, I don't know. I think Spillane would be better with Bush than either Williams or Williamson.

Chefs just freed up $23 million in cap space. I wonder who they are going after.

Bucs just re-signed Shaq Barrett

4/$72 Million, $36 Million guaranteed.

AGREE Litos and I never ever really thought there was a chance for Dupree to sign and come back. As offensive heavy as the league is and the promising prospect of Highsmith, writing was on the wall for Bud.

Now to test everone's memory, we had a player with similar skill set neamed Durpee, I wonder if we can sign him and somehow trade cleveland for two firsts or a GOLD jacket to the HOF............?

Salute the nation

we need to sign a vet FA edge for sure, no need to bring another high draft pick when we already have Highsmith to develop and the kid looked good despite how raw he was, definitely has a lot of upside.

I see this and can't help but think what in the hell Watt's contract is going to look like, he's so much better than Barrett

Apparently the Pats also kept Cam Newton.

Pats sign Jonnu Smith from the Titans. 4 years, $50 million. $31.25 million guaranteed. The Pats also kept Cam Newton.

that's what would have cost the Steelers to improve over Ebron in this Free Agency. Expect Hunter Henry to get more than that now

Jonnu Smith for $12 million per year? Damn!

Watt is expected to be near $25 million per year. That was what I read earlier this season. I hope we can keep it closer to $20 because that is a ton of coin for one player not your QB. That is why there was no way we were keeping Bud for another $15 million per. That would be near $40 million for just your 2 OLB's and 1/3 of your entire cap.

Fisher on a incentive laced back loaded deal? Say 4 years low 1st and2nd year base

I am still scratching my head over this signing. Between this and the Newton signing, I am beginning to believe the evil genius is just evil.
