Pipe dream or not - Lev Bell could be coming back...

Saw a blurb this morning about both he and AB possibly coming back. Don't want either. AB is a cancer and Bell is done. He hasn't played well since he was with Pittsburgh 4 years ago. Taking a year off and then sucking for 2 years in NY and doing nothing in KC for a year. No need for either unless Bell plays for the vet minimum as a backup..

Can he still make a difference?

Haven't seen anything impressive out of the guy the last couple of years.

Bell would just be her to collect a payday or two...

I say no thanks...get me a hungry rookie...
Totally agree Dino
He hasn't showed much in years ..... and do you think he is going to swallow that pill of taking a low salary after all that has transpired between him and the team.
Haven't done the math .... but he has sure deminished his pocket book by the path he took. The holdout, the Jets and KC don't come close to what he could have had if he signed with Pittsburgh.
Saying it was done to raise the RB market for all the young guys may have panned out for a year or two for guys like Gurley, Zeke, etc. I dare say any team that signed RBs to huge contracts have regretted it or dropped the guy after a year or two.

I would rather see Najee Harris, Travis Etienne or Javonte Williams in the backfield than any of the free agents currently available (mostly for what Dino said above but also because we need to allocate money to other areas of concern on the team) I like Aaron Jones but $$$$ rules in end

The tread is worn out on those tires. You need some new high performance rubber by way of Clemson or AaaaaaaaalaaBAMA!!!..lol

He has used ZERO tread since he left here. I'd take him as a 3rd down back/ Slot receiver option in a heartbeat. He wasn't used like he was here. Jets tried to make him a feature back ground and pounder, and he had a decent 1st year over 1200 combined yards.

He is a malcontent and doesn't seem to want to work hard if he's not the #1. Still, I don't fault him for holding out on his 2nd consecutive franchise tag. Dumb move for the Steelers to do this and even dumber that it was exclusive. We could have moved him if it was non-exclusive.

AB I want ZERO part of. He's a dick back pure and simple, and his trajectory should land him in a jail cell one day.

Lets hope not we have had enough drama in the last month. Tomlin and Rooney would really show themselves if they decide to pull this Bonner

Keep moving. Not mad and understand he wanted to get paid which he did. Probably lost a little money over all but nowhere even close to the AB fiasco. With that being said I would in no way want him back just because of performance alone. He’s done and you can tell. I would rather try to resign Connor then bring Bell back. At least when healthy Connor looked better than Bell.

I agree on everything except I personally would welcome Connor over Bell as our 3rd down or change of pace back.

I'd want Neither one. Bell is empty tank and little chest is a cancer waiting to currupt.

$21 mil reasons for NO AB

Salute the nation

Tomlin liked his mama. Don't know if that accounts for anything......

If Bell could not not succeed with KC he would be a total waste here. He was basically 3rd or 4th string on the depth chart. He has been one of the most over-rated steelers I can think of. His "patient" style would get him killed w/ the oline we have now. AB is a better player, but no way should he be back here.

He has nothing left. His goose is cooked.

How bout we call him "an out of balance tire " that is the wrong size for our rims...... there is still tread on the tire but that "out of balance" makes the vehicle shimmy down the road on its way to an eventual blow out.💣

Agree a much smoother ride for years to come with a new high performance model strapped to our Black & Gold ride

As much as I loathe AB, the passing game would go to another level if he returned. As for Bell, with the line the Steelers have Barry Sanders would struggle. Any RB worth his salt would avoid the Steelers right now. The offense is a train wreck.

Bell left on a business move... brown was the one that went full dynamite the bridges mode... i can see Bell taking a one year deal to make one last attempt at a big payday in 2022...

Again players who are cut or in ufa need to find the best one year fit for them if the big contract isn’t there this offseason, that is...

next year there will be oodles of cap space for everyone....

As a cheap role player on the offense. I’ll bite at Bell. As far as starting? I’ll pass.

The thing is you absolutely don’t want to go into the season with a draft pick as the only viable option at starter... if they aren’t sold on Snell then yes they should bring in someone with starting experience... maybe not Bell, but someone...
