How ******* dumb can you be?

You think Canada is incapable?

I am more worried about if whoever called that Cleveland game gets to call another game for the defense....... ever.

It was that bad.

I think they took a completely inept ******* offense and retained part of the staff to continue the legacy of the completely ******* inept offense. They really needed to go outside the organization and find somebody who knows how to run a ******* offense, not somebody who spends his days coming up with quirks for the ******* jet sweep.

Guy really has only been with us one year. Hard to get a read on what he is capable of. Not that I can dispute that there was some more attractive options out there as in proven commodities.

Was many others that seemed better for the job, typical hiring under the same system, what changes do we really expect. I hope Canada does well and changes this offense, Will Tomlin allow him though

I'm more worried about the track record of the guy that hired Canada. He hasn't shown an ability to do a search for capable assistants. Hiring from within is plain lazy.
 
And the biggest thing? They didn't even TRY to look for somebody outside the organization. They just had some brunch and said, "Status quo? Ya? Ya?, Great!"
 
And as Steelers Fan's we expected something different......? Typical response from the Front Office and Coach T. not looking outside the organization. Tomlin stated this isn't a rebuilding phase for the 2021 Steelers..... I call BS. If Ben returns you think he will be willing to learn another offense.... I say Not Happening. Steelers could very well be the bottom dwellers of the AFCN next season.

Yeah that I have a problem with too. Not that they went with Canada but that they didn't shop around before going with him.

If they truly let Canada run his offense, it's far from status quo. I also don't know if he was the best option. There are offenses out there that are proven to work with less talent and that's the direction the Steelers should have at least considered.
 
I think people were on the Bus to Canada, because he was anyone but Fichtner. And to me if you thought he was the next guy, WTF didn't you just promote him in season. The offense was the Titanic for the last 7 weeks of the season or more.

That would be assuming the O-line/running attack isn't tweaked. I am taking a wait and see approach to that.

All he has to do to improve on Fichtner is just not suck at play calling even if nothing else changes. Hell if he is bad it, it will be an improvement over Randy. I have never seen more predictable calls and uncreative use of plays.
 
We are now officially "Air Canada" with our OC Canada & Chase Claypool....
 
I do seem to remember this. I believe Fichtner was the OC of a Probowl before he actually was officially OC of the Steelers and I believe Ben played and stunk. Was probably a sign.
 
'Next man up'. Only figures Canada was gonna be the man.

I agree, but that's a tough trigger to pull when your winning. Even if its ugly or despite the ineptitude of his play calling.
 
No doubt that the offense needs a huge improvement. The running game, OL, TE position, RB, and on and on.

But can I point out that in the last three Steelers playoff games, they have surrendered 36, 45 and 47 points? 128 points allowed in 3 games is more than 42 points per game. I believe the term for that is going from bad to worse.
