Will we know by the end of the day today if they are eligible to be active Sunday? There hasn't been real practice status reports because they are still on IR.

I really want Spillane to play. I don't think either will.
I'm cautiously optimistic that neither will be needed on Sunday. If they need another week, I think the team will be fine.

I spoke with friend and got into discussion, Bills fan who recognized that Josh Allen struggles more against zone vs. Man. Colts are heavy Zone team cuz they suck in man coverage.
LSS—When Allen struggles, according to him, they are vulnerable. They’ve been hot but he was nervous but confident. He thinks if Allen doesn’t turn it over.

If the Browns are without CB Denzel Ward again (with opposite starting Kevin Johnson CB ruled out)....they would be in trouble regardless who they they play with just that alone.

Both are supposed to be activated tomorrow.

Usually we get news when IRed players first practice. We didn't get that news this week. It doesn't mean they won't play or haven't practiced, we just haven't been given that news.
This is what I took from it. You don't have to submit practice status of players on IR. They may have practiced full all week. They get activated today. Two players get waived. They play tomorrow. Maybe as depth. Maybe as starter.

I believe your friend is correct. I felt we played way too much man-to-man in our game against them and that's how #14 torched us in the second half. Now, I'm not saying play zone the whole game but we're going to have to mix up the coverages A LOT.

No one in the AFC super wildcard round (or whaterver the f'k they are calling it) gets a free be first round. I'm certainly not looking past the Browns nor for that matter am I looking the Bills past the Colts. The Colts are a dangerous team with an experienced QB and the Bills have no playoff experience. I would say once the Bills get rolling in the playoffs look out. but they still have to get going.
Oh and PS the Bills run game is minimally better than the Steelers.

I talk a. Little confident in the STEELERS winning and I'm definately on that side but make no mistake all games need to be played and played well. The STEELERS could be knocked out not just by the talent on the Browns team but also at the will of the NFL league.
GAME MANIPULATION is real but I think the STEELERS have enough to be successful in this game.

I'm more concerned about forfeiting the first third of the game which the Steelers have done in all but a few games this year. You allow the Browns run game to stay viable, you have a very dangerous scenario.
