Gardner Minshew - thoughts?

Flacco? Really?

Many dismiss Tomlin never having a losing season because he's had Roethlisberger at quarterback. Stafford has 4 above .500 records in 12 years. I know its about more than the QB, but he's been on teams with 5 last-place NFC North finishes and had six seasons with 6 or fewer wins. I'd rather sign a mid-level guy around $14 million or even better, a bargain basement veteran and use those cap dollars elsewhere on the team while trying to find a QB in the draft.

Stafford is a damn good QB on a very ****** team. They are straight up dysfunctional man. Drew Brees couldn't help that organization. No, I'm not comparing them.

Flacco isn't helping anyone stick a fork in him. Stafford besides needing his Int's curtailed is capable. He would just need a Favre type coach to reduce them. Do we have the OC capable of that transformation is the bigger debate.

The problem with Stafford isn't his talent, he's good. It's his combination of cap hit and age based on performance. If Ben retires after the season are you ready to give up a first-round pick for a guy like Stafford?

They may be, but Flacco was always good at two things: Not costing his team the game, and throwing deep for DPI penalties. Of course, we'd have to somehow have one of the league's better rushing attacks to carry him. He very often gave our defense fits.

I've always thought that. I do, however, see him walking off the field after a third down incompletion looking like he doesn't really care. That's what I mean about him getting used to being a loser.

Not sure he would bring that. But if that was the price hell no. One thing is Colbert is value capable. I have confidence he wouldn't pull the trigger on a trade that didn't make sense.

With Flacco "was" is the approximate stamp. If he is the Steelers only option they would be getting that high draft pick sooner than later.

Just stop. He’s better than Landry Jones. By a mile. In 23 games, including 21 starts, the guy has a 93 rating, 63% completion percentage, 5,530 yards 37 TD and 11 INT. For the ******* Jaguars, a team so bereft of talent that the damn Jets have a better record. Jones, Hodges and Rudolph will never see those kinds of numbers.

Not in our dink and dunk offense at the moment, and that's all we've seen from Rudolph and Duck. Rudolph excelled in college throwing the deep ball, I have yet to see him throw deep in a regular season game for our steelers.
