Why bring tomlin back???

Hahaha look at the route combination on the second video.. The bengals defense covered all 3 WRs by just standing there. Absolutely ridiculous design.

I watched the linebackers back off on the play in live action and thought it was odd because you don't see them do that too often, or at least I never really notice it. They simply didn't fear Ben's ability to complete a pass in that area of the field. It's why they can crowd the line on other players because they don't fear the pass.

Tomlin doesn't get the credit on the defensive side as much as he should.... yeah early on he inherited Cowhers scheme and players, but those both crashed by 14-15 and everything now is definitely Tomlins creation... his defensive productivity is far better than cowhers overall... and honestly, the haley era was better offensively than any steelers team era ever.... its just weird how his pinnacle of offense matched his absolute pit of defensive production...

look this current mess is like 93% fitchner... if you want to blame tomlin for him having the job, fine... im on board with that... but the teams crash offensively has more to do with Fitchner installing his dink and dunk than AB leaving or Ben getting old...

The bigger thing he inherited from Cower was the person who knew wtf to do with the defensive talent.
Heyward 1st round
Tuitt 2nd round
Alulalu 1st round trade
Watt First Round
Bush trade up first round
Williams low draft played his way up.
Dupree First Round
Haden First round trade
Nelson I believe second round trade.
Edmunds First Round
Fitzpatrick expensive First round trade
With the exception of Dupree who bloomed late none would be lost to FA.
are we really going to compare this to the Cowher era? Bill operated on a shoe string with huge turnover. Tomlin has gotten anything he needed, but a ****** pink slip.

Really don't know what you see here. What I see is them dropping zone with no concern for the run. The Dlibe jumping and batting 2-3 passes a game. And then based upon down and distance effectively collapsing the pocket with the blitz.

Just to clarify Sask, Alulalu, Haden and Nelson were FA acquisitions not trade. Good value contracts too.
