Why bring tomlin back???

Same ****, new year. Charlie Brown trying to kick the football held by Lucy again. They got me with that 11 game start. Now it's dumpster fire and they pulled the football again.

I hate the end of this movie. I've seen it a bunch of times

Our offensive scheme / play calling is terrible. We are almost constantly in the shotgun and it is just not working. That is on Tomlin. We were playing a team that cant pass and we fail to load up to stop the run. That is also on Tomlin. Ben was definitely off tonight, but the scheme is just not helping out. Just look at our last drive. Plenty of time and instead of trying to move the chains we resort to chuck and pray. If your going to lose at least try something different. I love how all the talking heads are like if anyone can fix it Tomlin can.....Im like WTF have they been watching. All Tomlin does is spit out ridiculous babble.

The last thing they ever do is fix anything in season . They will run that **** without change until the ship sinks.

It’s just crazy how a few weeks ago were 11-0, thinking about the 1 seed, a lot of talk about us as SB favorites.

Now, 11-3. Honestly, wondering if we’ll win again this season. I really don’t see it happening. Vegas has our SB odds lower than the Ravens who aren’t even in the playoffs yet..

Even with going 11-0, this season had a feel of suck to it. I guess it was cause of no fans, never know when or if we’re playing, never knowing what players can play. I’m honestly ready for this season to be over. Maybe we can make another run at a winning record season again next year. I’ll definitely be attending the last home game to pay respects to Ben if it his truly his last season.

Bottom line.. this team just needs to be put out of their misery this year.

How many got jobs? Why is no one even interested in anyone connected with the Steelers? Belichick doesn't need others to handle the x's and o's. He does it himself.. But lets be clear here. Belichick owns Tomlin. Mike Tomlin couldn't even be a coordinator or probably position coach on Belichick's staff. Maybe an intern.

I still don't know what talking about Belichick's assistants, most who have failed as head coaches, can be some kind of indictment of Mike Tomlin. It is an issue that doesn't make sense. No one is arguing that Belichick is a much better coach than Tomlin. He certainly is. But I don't know why you would need to make the argument you are making to prove that, because you are highlighting people who, by and large, have failed.

Again, fire Tomlin. I will not argue. But the offensive scheme looks the way it does in part because the QB wants it that way. Just firing Tomlin won't fix it all. that has to be addressed.

Over the years, the offense was probably at it's best overall under Todd Haley. But the QB didn't like Haley. Haley talked too tough to him sometimes.

And if that is not an indicator of the input Ben has over things, I don't know what is. He threatened to retire so they would get rid of a successful coach he didn't like.

But..."It's all Tomlin."

32 teams. Tomlin is supposed to be this super successful awesome coach. 14 years and not one team is interested in what you are cooking. Why not? Cause they know that no one on this team could teach a dog to take a **** on the floor. That's the point Diver.

That an Haley was an *******. One of the few Tomlin guys hired by anyone else. His next job lasted 8 weeks. You don't usually get fired in 8 weeks for incompetence. Did Todd win State at Riverview this year?

I don't know what the hell that last part means. However, I think we are closer than you may think. I am not a fan of Mike Tomlin. I am simply trying to point out that statements like "It's all Tomlin" are ridiculous. If you just fire Tomlin and some other issues are not addressed, I don't know if that is a recipe for success. And, in the event, can you change the QB at this point?

Todd is currently employed as a High School OC. That is what it means. Close to what? Are you ****** kidding me. If the Steelers had just played out what they were last year instead of keeping the all important 8 or better record of Tomlin they may well have their QB of the future. The best barometer of what should have been done is the Green Bay Packers. Their coach had virtually the same success as Tomlin over virtually the same period of time. They dumped him. He is clearly not great and the Packers are actual legit contenders instead of smoke and mirrors.

We're seeing the third consecutive collapse in the second half of the season.

The Steelers went 2-4 after starting 7-2-1 in 2018.

They went 0-3 after an 8-5 start in 2019.

Currently, they're in the process of the worst collapse an 11-0 team has ever experienced.

I'm tired of excuses being made for Tomlin. He sucks.

I honestly have no ******* clue how he has won as much as he has.

Ben used to cover his bad coaching. Key word used to.

It is very evident that there is no amount of talent that is good enough for this guy to win. I don't give a damn about this or that. These are the damn Bengals with a what string QB?? There is no amount of talent this guy can win with. No need to get excited over the draft or free agency. This is a dumb coaching staff point blank.

But he's never had a losing season.

You think Butler or Fichtner get picked up by any teams if they were fired? Lol **** no. The only reason I can figure out to why either of them are still coaches on this staff is cause Tomlin doesn't want anyone smarter than him on the staff.

Possibly a reason why Munchak left, and the results are telling. I think Munchak was more respected. As Ben said he's got the gold jacket.

I meant closer than you think in agreement about Tomlin. I think he should go. The thing I am adding is I do not think it is that simple, that it is the fix all. Other things need to be addressed as well. And I agree that the Packers are a good barometer. But don't forget, the new coach kind of put Rodgers in his place a little bit, put his nose out of joint also by picking a first round QB. If it is not too late, I think those things need to be done with our QB.

You all are a few years late to the dance. Tomlin was figured out years ago. It sucked back then to watch amazing talent get wasted by this guy. I can't see Rooney parting ways with Tomlin. It will stink for years.

Wait until it's up to Rudolph or Duck to bail a game out.

Ben used to cover his bad coaching. Key word used to.

Stop it. Stop covering for the QB. I agree Tomlin is lousy, but the QB plays, not Tomlin. Ben shares responsibility in the lack of success to one degree or another over the last many years.

In the hypothetical world of getting rid of Tomlin, that will not be the fix all unless you also put the QB in his place. And if he can't do the things that need to be done to improve the offense, then it is time to move on and try to rebuild.

Yep. these players are just lumps of clay to be molded. They have no free will or choice. They are machines. What bullshit.

Again, I agree Tomlin has not gotten the most out of some of the talent he has had. But damn it, stop giving these "talented" players a pass. They have a responsibility too.

****, look at last night. Our two highly paid DEs were being blown off the ball by backups. Do they have a responsibility to play better? Ben couldn't hit his *** with his hand at times, what about his responsibility?

To be fair, injuries have been a factor in both years.

For injuries, it is better to have them early than late. This year and last year we've had injuries all over the season.

Cincy was hit harder by injures. No excuses. We got handled by a 2-10-1 team.

CMT, more impressed with what the opponent did rather than disappointment in what his own team did. Standard. smh

Another Unleashing Hell in December installment in the franchise. Who didn't know this was coming?

All I can say is about the rest of this year...they could hide in excuses for the Washington loss and the Buffalo loss. Covid. The schedule. Goodell. Blah, blah. They can't on this one. So lets see how they respond.

If they can put something together the last two weeks and go into the playoffs with some momentum, who knows?

But he's never had a losing season.

And 3 playoff wins last 10 years. Noll won 2 playoff games in his last 10 seasons in the worst of the modern years of the franchise.

Yep, they ran all over us with an O-line missing 2-3 starters.
