What happened to this team is the same thing that happened to it every other year. Once teams got a bead on what they could and could not do it was over. Cause they cannot fix a problem nor change what they are doing. Good teams evolve and game plan what your weakness is. The Steelers under Tomlin have always not worried about that. They do what they do.
To be fair Jerry and douchette aren't any better. And if you question them they will block you. They are scared the Steelers will pull their passes so they sugar coat everything in the Steelers favor. The fans know that there is an obvious difference in the Olines that some will contribute to age. I do think AV is struggling at times and is declining. Realistically this team could ben-efit from two new tackles. Even if they try Chukes at LT they will need to draft a tackle high to throw into the mix. An athletic road grader.

It was appalling to watch the ineptitude on display in the first half last night. Mistake after mistake on Offense coupled with the worst passing performance of Ben's career. People openly questioning now if he can still play.
This team is eerily similar to the 1986 New York Jets. The Jets that year roared out to a 10-1 start. Their fans were booking plane tix to the SB. Then, the wheels came off, and they lost their last 5 games in a row; one of which was to our Steelers at the Meadowlands....I was there and loved it.
The Jets limped into the playoffs and actually blew out the Chiefs in the wild card game. They lost the following week to the Browns. I don't think the Steelers will win any more games this year based on what I'm seeing.

Quit thinking this mess will be fixed with a new player here or there. This will not be fixed until the entire coaching staff is gone or, if ownership won't make that call, until the ownership changes. The 1978 team in its prime couldn't win with the coaching we have now.
Was there ever a less impressive 11-3 team? With all the close wins over bad teams early in the season we all knew inwardly that we were not going undefeated but I never envisioned the epic fail that we witnessed last night against a two win Bengal team and their third string QB.

I guess I didn't forsee us sucking quite that bad. We do have a well documented history of making benchwarmer QBs look like HOF candidates and I admit that I was quite concerned when all the pregame talking heads picked the Steelers to win by A LOT....
