Everything looked fine in week 6 or 7. But this is week 14. I can't even remember the last deep ball that was on time and on target and none of them have been overthrown. Washington was two steps behind the DB on that one play. Eli Manning had the same deal and he didn't have Elbow surgery.

Ben's arm is fine. Watch the replays. His TD to Washington was a great fake and throw. His int at the end of the game was late because he was looking to the other side of the field first and then it was PI on the defender that wasn't called. His pick 6 was all on him but that's because we have no O-line, no running game, no creativity in our play calling and no motion prior to the snap to get the D moving and out of position.

I think Ben's arm is a little tired. Ben has been throwing too many passes. Limit his throws for the week, and when he makes them focus on 5+ yards down the LOS.

I can't disagree with that. You can't have him at his age throwing 40+ passes every game without expecting some fatigue.

The pass to Washington was a laser and I remember him overthrowing washington at least once early in the game

Ben was about to be hit on that throw and wasn't able to fully step into that throw, Allen who has a big arm threw short on a couple for that same reason too. He has plenty of arm as shown on that TD to Washington, guys with a bum arm don't make that throw.

Ben's deep ball timing hasn't been there all season. He has had trouble for a while with that going back a few seasons.

Something is off. I wonder if he lacks some confidence in it, or still has in the back of his mind the injury. He'll rip one, like the TD to Washington, but the deep ball...he is doing some sidearm flick kinda thing...I don't know how else to describe it.

This looks like an exhausted team. It's a shame, boy they have given us a fun year to this point. But I think the exhaustion, the injuries...I don't know.

It's his lower body that looks tired or lazy. He's flat footed far too often and the mechanics look like they need a good once-over.

Not sure what the deep ball issue is but maybe those routes should be intermediate. This is just another area Randy could tweak but hasn't. The team is regressing something needs to happen. Some changes need made.

none of our RB's are NFL caliber guys, our Oline sucks, so pretty much the O is going to suck.
They can pressure with 4 guys, LB's DB's don't ever have to worry about stopping the run they just stick to a WR now. The rare times we block ok for the RB's they miss the running lanes, like Conner did on that short yardage run, he had a gapping lane to the left, totally missed it and ran into the back of our Olinemen and barley picked up the one yard for a first. Samuels catches a screen, had DeCastro in front of him and cuts inside Decastro to where the pursuit is and turns what looks like was going to a decent gainer into a 3 or 4 yard play.

What happened to the intermediate ball. It's either < 7 yards, or a bomb. Sphincter has to go.

I think his arm his fine, but his legs are another issue.

I've heard the likes of Rich Gannon and Dan Marino comment on how toward the end of their careers it was their weakening legs, not their arms, that began to affect their accuracy, particularly on deeper throws.

They also never have Ben dropping back from under center anymore, which limits the running game, and may be another sign that his legs are shot.

KC, GB,and NO all run a ton from the shotgun.

In 2017 bens deep ball stats declined
In 2018 they deteriorated further
We know the arm issues started in that area
2019 his elbow broke
This season the deep game is just off... but we don’t really play much of it, and most of his misses are long, so I don’t really think its his arm... i just think its less reps with the wideouts... i think if he steps into tgrows they are fine and the wideouts need to not slow down on them like some do... again it’s probably just lack of reps in practice trying to baby Bens arm till the playoffs

That all goes along with the Oline getting older and worse

I think he should sit against the Bengals, see if they can pull off a win with Rudolf. Maybe a week off would help him for the last two weeks and playoffs.

Granted, it does nothing for all the other problems.

I just appreciate more and more the football Ben gave us over the years, and the fun this year has been to this point. It's kinda hard to watch now...

To big of a game, if Browns lose tonight, we win the division by beating Cincy, then week 17 basically becomes meaningless so we can rest alot of guys then like a bye week.

With how they are playing I wouldn't rest anyone for any significant time. Give them a extra day or two sure.

I'd give Ben off, of the 3 30+guys on the Oline, I'd give as many them that week off, that's it on O, and we can't afford any more injuries there. Defense, I'd rest as many as possible.

40-50 passes a week and an OL that has replacement parts failing. Yeah his arm isn't going to look great with this happening.
