This loss is on TOMLIN

Ben would be just fine throwing to that list of WRs you listed. I mean he won two SBs with guys on that list lol.. great point.

Also, it only took Tomlin 10 years to recover from losing Cowhers guys and get a decent defense playing.. only took nothing but 1st rounders through out.

Anyway, it’s been 14 years and you’re still gladly taking Tomlin’s dick down your throat. Enjoy!

How long did it take Cowher to get to the SB after 95? He was being crucified by everyone in 1999 and the masses wanted him fired as he had missed the playoffs twice. Dan Rooney said no and kept him on. He missed the playoffs that year too. As Cope says, Context, Context, context. We’re you around wanting Cowhers head too in 1999?

How many franchise QBs did Cowher have during that time. He went to the AFCC with Kordell lol.. and SB with a terrible O'donnel.

Then he gets Ben and goes to AFCC and SB win in back to back seasons.

dude, he hasn't been the steeler coach in 14 years

move on

I was asked a question, so I answered. My point is that Ben is the reason for success more so than Tomlin or Cowher for that matter.

I was here and it was the same bullshit. Cowher is just average at best.

Tomlin is not the greatest coach ever, but he is above average. He is one of the better coaches in the league, which says more about the ****** coaches elsewhere than it does about his ability.

Below average coaches don't take that **** show last year to an 8-8 record....they don't take a team, even one as talented as this one to an 11-0 start. Earlier this season we actually saw adjustments being made during the game. That did not happen last night...well it did but it was all from the Football Team's side.

That loss sucked but those who say the season is over are being idiotic.

Time to turn the focus to Buffalo and beating them. They have a decent defense but I don't think it is as good as the shitbirds or the football teams.

O'Donnell was not terrible.

He royally ****** up the SB....but he was not a terrible QB

I'll give you that, it was definitely the best season of his career.

I was admittedly drinking some beer during the game, but there was never an instance where I thought Tomlin was clearly blowing it. There were certainly times where I felt the team was blowing it, like every time they dropped a pass.

ABSOLUTELY on this point

There seems to be a lot of IDIOTS as of late, must coincide with recent loss. The sky is NOT falling so those that have, can kindly pull their respective heads out of what ever they've stuck them into.

EXCELLENT points Coolie and some here act like losing one single game is the end all. ONE should realize the extent of what the ******* NFL League has done in the schedule of the STEELERS and how hard that is on them. No rest / mandate NOT facility use / extremely short turn-around / no sense of consistency as they were held in suspense of playing or not / it all ADDS up. With the well deserved back to a consistent schedule both game and week leading up to, YOU will see a change back to a more normal team than what we saw last night.

Salute the nation

can't put the game solely on Tomlin, but he made the calls to go to our 4th string OT on one pass and our rookie RB that has barely played all season on another 4th down. Washington made adjustment at halftime that totally swung the game in their favor, we didn't do anything to adjust to them.

The ******* offensive coordinatior,,, BECAUSE WE CANT RUN THE BALL!!!!

They can't run the ball because they will not commit to it. I think it is a combination of all of them, the head coach, the coordinator and the quarterback.

Again, though, 11-1. I think this style is fine if they can get a few deep shots completed. And intermediate shots...18-22 yrds. To me they have to focus on that a bit.

You should have whispered to Ben to audible out of that stupid $hit.

What exactly does "commit to it" mean? Do you want to run the ball 30 times for 55 yards? Is that committing to the run?

Running the ball more isn't going to all of sudden make this OL block well for the run. Efficient running should be the goal, not a certain number of carries that meets the requirements of committing to the run.

Well according to all the morons, Ben has full control, which obviously he does not.

I don't have strong feelings about it in either direction but I openly confess that the immature part of me is looking forward to the day when Tomlin gets into the HOF within a year or two upon eligibility. It will be like the ******* Armageddon here with some of you wackjobs. And it's going to be absolutely hilarious to watch.

Dumb ***** have been waiting 12 weeks for a loss so they can post the obligatory Tomlin sucks thread. Must have been very a frustrating wait and it must be quite a relief after all that build up.

No, not really. There were decisions and strategy along the way that Tomlin could have been called out for except it didn't hurt the team. If everyone was that set on hating Tomlin like you insist then threads would have been made.

Nobody will be upset when he gets in the HOF, he's the head coach of a the football team we all love. I'll be happy when he gets in the HOF, doesn't mean I have to love everything he does right now.

Seems like you've been waiting to defend him for 12 weeks.

**** outa here.

Aw, bullshit. You have to practice it, work on it...that's what I mean commit. It's an attitude. If that's 30 times a game, fine. If it's 15, fine. I would argue if you really work at it, you'll be getting more than 55 yards.

I just don't think they do. They know what they have. They have a great QB and a slew of WRs that can play. Again, I'm not saying they are wrong...they are 11-1. But this bitching about a run game...I'm not. I'm just stating why it isn't happening.

So they don't practice running? They don't do any blocking drills during the week.. yeah, not buying that. Sarrett can't coach anyone up and these guys just don't have the skills/power to run block.

I had actually forgotten about those two calls because the beer is so good when it hits your lips, but I would agree those weren't the greatest decisions ever.

I wish I had those beers during those calls.

You can speculate, but I can't? So Sarrett can't coach? How the hell do you know? These guys can't? C'mon. I think a much more plausible explanation is that they do not practice it to the detail that maybe they did in the past.

Again, dammit, they are 11-1. I don't care if they run the ****** ball or not. I'm just stating why I think they can't.

Well their last two games have been their worst running effort, they have come off of very little opportunity to practice with the ****** up schedule they had since the week of Thanksgiving

I think it's more logical that Sarrett isn't a very good coach rather than an NFL team is not practicing running the football.. I mean, come on.
