Wow, I see the bandwagon got really light with our first loss

have any of you watched the chiefs play?

hell denver damn near beat them and the team they lost to should have lost to the jets

Man, I hear what you're saying. But I'm only worried about the Steelers. They need to fix this running game problem pronto. I can't rely on another team to **** the bed for us to win. Address the problem and fix the problem and winning becomes much easier.

give me a ******* break, it's not even close. i've watched multiple chiefs games this season, i'd give my left ************* arm to have their offensive identity

By RUNNING THE ******* BALL they nearly beat the Chiefs. That is the point. With a total loser at QB with a career rating of like .60, they still ran the ball and with HUge holes. Our line looks like a closing clamshell on every run.

Oh, I don't know about that. Ben never really got to go no-huddle tonight. The Steelers can win any game against anyone if Ben gets to call the plays. It just never got to materialize in this game, thanks to a tipped ball. We need to have at least 4 drives a game that exclude Fichtner.

The biggest problem we have, IMO, is this piss poor offensive line. One of the absolute worst. We used to have 2 NFL players (Pouncey and Decastro) and a bunch of plug and play scrubs. Now Decastro looks to suck worse than any of them, and Pouncey sucked too when he was playing. Villanueva might be the most overrated player in the league, and the rest of the them are practice squad players. I get so sick of hearing about our "good offensive line" when I know they are ****. The only reason they don't give up sacks is because Ben gets rid of it so quickly, and he still gets drilled at least 10 times a game. They obviously can't run block at all, but we keep bashing our running backs. The stupid play calling and hand tipping by formation doesn't help a bit either.

I still say Ben is the ******* MVP, and I still think he and the WRs can carry us to another Lombardi.

Did anyone read the piece on DeCastro on Steeler Nation, his sad state of attitude? I think he might be the problem or the fall-off on this line. He has a hold tonight, and he was injured early in the year. The problem with 11-0, you can’t really experiment. I think it’s time to experiment with this line some, but we may be stuck with it since we are “winning” but I think our ceiling is LOW for this team-especially with a hobbled defense. We need to go the the “lab” for real and try some **** now to get better for later.

The running game is shot. You don't just find a running game in the middle of the season. They don't believe in it. They don't scheme for it. They don't have good personnel for it.

I remember when we used to wish we had a passing game to compliment our running game...I really hate to say it, but we've become.....the Miami Dolphins under Shula and Marino...

They've played a bunch of games close lately, the difference is the Chiefs are always one play away from a touchdown. The Steelers seem like they're 8 plays away from a field goal.

Since the raiders beat the chiefs by 8 and Barely beat the jets by your logic the Jets would beat the chiefs (who the chiefs beat 35-9). We all know NFL logic does not work like that. There is no way this D is holding Mahomes to <20 points and right now our offense flat out stinks. We scored 12 points against Balt and 17 against Was. That will not cut it in the playoffs. We definitely need better passing routes / plays and some semblance of a running game. We can definitely fix some problems (like catching the ball) and better play calls, but the run game will be a tough one.

If we had a full 10 days to prep no doubt they would have beat the Skins. Now we have 6 days before we go to Buffalo.... I smell a conspiracy....sniff,,,yep,, I smell a Shitbird.....F'n Ravens...

But seriously,,,The Skins have a pretty good D, what is it #4? Our D is banged up, our starting RB is out, starting kicker is out, starting center is out.... Regroup and go again....We'll be alright.. If I told you the Steelers would be 11-1, at the start of the year, you'd be f'n ecstatic... Things could be a lot worse

being 11-1 with problems to be resolved for a playoff run is better than being 6-5 with the same problems.

Ebron missed a key block on the 4th down, dropped 3 balls. Fix that and they get the win, easily, tonight

Not a chance. In fact, do it yourself and save on some BP pills.

My BP is fine. Watching other teams gives some context to the Steelers and how they look. Nobody in the world gets more caught up in the success of the Steelers than me, but like others, I’m just being honest about the product we see now. I’m not pro-TomLin or anti-TomLin, I think he’s just fine. But the whole world sees the issues this team is having, and many of us are just calling for some correction not just saying “oh well” we are winning. You talk about an empty feeling...what if we are 15-1 and exit early in post season. I remember 2004. I remember Hines in tears after that loss. This team is too talented to not get this fixed.

Better to lose now instead of later in the season. This shoue be motivation to help them regroup. Tomlin should make all receivers practice with the Jugs machine until the unit breaks. Too many dropped balls in the past two games.

The coaching staff thought it was a good idea to put Ebron in motion only to block Chase Young on fourth and one. It was just poor in design. Bad matchup, bad execution as a result.

You guys need to read the game thread. No point watching the rest of the season, this team is done, shot, no chance, or so I was reading

Game threads are for venting, if we make the big game they'll all be there cheering right beside us.

Yes sir. We could've easily won, but this garbage schedule is starting to take it's toll.

I foresee an AFC Championship in KC, it'll be tough but hopefully we can pull it off!

Not giving up but our Steelers are making it too easy for their opposing Defenses as the Steelers are bring a one dimensional offense to the line of scrimmage each game. They've got to re-establish the running game if this team is going to go anywhere in the playoffs.

I don't need to watch ESPN to see other teams. **** ESPN. And I'm certainly not saying "oh well" we're winning, things are just fine. Our inability to run is a glaring problem. But again, we were down a RB, Center, CBs, LBs and just played our 3rd game in 12 days. I'm just not going to get hysterical over this loss.

Absolutely.

Well said. I’m not going to get hysterical either. Your points are legit, so are many of the criticisms made out of sincere affection and hope for this franchise.

14 carries 21 yards. Is that winning footbal?

It can be. Ask Marshall Faulk. He had 10 carries for 17 yards when the Rams beat the Titans in the Super Bowl.

There seems to be two types of fans. 1. Looks at things like overconfidence and intangibles and believes that is the problem. 2. Others that look at schematics and x and o's. If the Steelers could kinda run the ball I would chalk up tonight to a bad game and tough luck. The fact that they have to pass on third and 1 and the coach won't acknowledge that as a problem. Yeah that concerns me.
