After losing 45-0 to the Pats .......Chargers coach A. Lynn has got to feel the squeeze soon....

The Jets and their 12-0 LOSS win record ......... spawns a release of Greg Williams...... Gase has more lives than a cat.....

Jags got to be thinking what to do as well......

Where does the axe fall next and who are the up and comers for the new head coaching jobs

I'm not big on the conspiracy of they threw the game with the cover 0. Player didn't have to let the Bama kid blow by him. He could have played soft. But still, the league should probably have a discussion. And at least that is one of the most ridiculous calls ever.

If I am Trevor Lawrence and the Jets beat out the Jags for best LOSS record........ I am staying in school for my senior year........ unfortunately the Jets are so bad they may take the title of worst team next year as well

He could always pull an Eli Manning.

Someone here mentioned a lottery system similar to the NHL or NBA. I could get behind that. It would help end tanking.

Gase must have some dirt on someone in the NFL. Just doesn't make sense.

That dude is a train wreck.......... had one great season at OC with Peyton Manning but did nothing in the Superbowl

Miami .......blah
Jets....... blah blah blah

He couldn't even find a way to use that degenerational talent Lev Bell......

Sam Darnold ......... I still don't know if he has anything to offer after playing under Gase....

Where are you from in Canada?

and how did that work out for Eli .........only 2 Superbowls over Marcia Brady...........made more money than his brother in salary
and only 2 Superbowls for us with Ben

Phillip Rivers has the most kids and the most TDS and yardage of the 3 ..............San Diego clearly won that deal......... wait.......crickets............never mind

There is no way Eric Bieniemy is over-looked again for HC after the season. There are lot of coaches that has less success than him that got a HC position.

The media tells us that Bienemy and San Fran DC Saleh absolutely must get head coaching jobs this year. They may do well but they may not. It’s just funny to me how the media grabs onto certain names and decides they are brilliant. One would think they’d be hyping Fichtner and Butler for head coaching gigs but you don’t hear a peep.

I don’t know what to think about Bienemy. He’s calling plays but it’s Reid’s offense. And the offense is loaded with talent. A large portion of their big plays are ad lib by Mahomes.

if I was looking for a coach, I’d look more at the guy who is coaching a ****** unit but get’s them to play pretty well rather than a guy coaching a great unit. In other words, I want coaches who know how to hide weaknesses and play to strengths.

I see your point and it's a good one, but EB could be Matt Patricia 2.0 or Doug Pederson 2.0. I think a team will give him a shot. He could flourish with a team like Houston, that has a good foundation is already there, they just need direction and talent.

No one can cover Ruggs one on one on a go route. He has Tyreek Hill speed...

Any NFL corner can cover Ruggs or Hill on a Go route when they know he MUST go deep. Though the DB knew he didn't have help, he still could have peddled early and got huge depth. You didn't need to stop the 10 yard out. You couldn't do what he did.
his Tyreek Hill speed means he is 2 10ths faster on a 40. That's about two yards more cushion.

The key word is "one" - you have to have safety help w/ cheetah speed.

Jets will keep Gase at least until they lock up the No. 1 pick. They know keeping him is their best chance at Lawrence. Jacksonville is a good bet to move on and it's hard to see the Chargers not changing directions as well.

Upcoming and Coming Coaches:

Eric Bieniemy
I think Bieniemy is the top name for the Texans. They're going to look at what KC is doing with that offense and want to replicate it in Houston. It's hard to get a read on Bieniemy because he is under Andy Reid and has the best QB in the league. However, if you're gonna learn an offensive system, Andy Reid has a good one.

Robert Saleh
He was a hot name last year and I don't think that has changed much. Wide range of experience working for three college and four pro teams. High energy, face of the franchise type coach. How he transitions to HC interest me, but working under a quality offensive-minded HC probably helps his cause.

Brian Daboll
Daboll is going to get a lot of credit for developing Josh Allen and works under one of the more respected coaches in the league.

Duce Staley
He's not a coordinator, but he is assistant head coach in Philly. There seems to be some belief this guy could make a good head coach and there's always a surprise name out there.

Teryl Austin
Austin was a bit of a hot name several years ago but nothing came of it. His presence on Tomlin's staff has helped the defense reach elite levels.

Retreads
Jim Caldwell
His name is coming up quite a bit because of what did with Detroit and what Patricia couldn't. I think he's a mediocre head coach, but who knows.

Raheem Morris
Morris was pretty bad the first time around, but is starting to get some positive press with what he's doing with the Falcons right now. This is why it's a problem firing a coach so early in the season. Morris has some success and the players like him he may get the job even if he isn't the best guy.

Bill Cowher
The NFL is a different game compared to when he last coached, but when Boomer Esiason mentions his name you have to at least think Cowher has at least thought about the Jets job.

College
Jim Harbaugh
It seems like he's on his way out at Michigan and a lot are talking a return to the NFL. I don't see it, but some owner may want a "splash" hire with a big name.

Matt Campbell
Campbell seems to be a "program builder" in the mold of Matt Rhule. Seems like only a matter of time before he leaves Iowa State, the question will be is it for a bigger college or NFL job.
