Tomlin: we sucked

I loved it. He is not going to let them enjoy being 11-0 he is going to challenge their manhood as well as his own. Might be a good motivator.
 
Ben's taking all the blame as usual and praising others. Gonna miss this dude when he's gone.

An ugly win against a team of more than practice squad players you can use to fire you up. As Tomlin said, that was JV football today and that's football that will get you knocked out in the first round against a lower seed.
 
Its going to whizz off a lot of people here but that was the first post game that he sounded like he knew what the hell he was talking about and did not mince words. It was very Noll-Cowher--ish
 
What sucks is a coach who puts 2 defensive linemen on the field against a team that can't throw the ball.
Getting gashed by the run in that situation is as predictable as a Pittsburgh short pass attempt on successive 3rd and 1, 4th and 1 plays.

Baltimore had a total of 239 yards of offense today. Can't take it away, but, without the 70 yard TD pass to Brown, they had 169 yards of total offense; 129 on the ground.
 
Tomlin surly could go talk to the offense and try something more than what seemed the same pass play every play. Notice Ravens changed their defense to compact those short throws and we were not as successful getting stopped short of first down. Notice the best runs we had was when the line actually blocked and a seam for Benny to run threw. Not many of them for sure. fifty some passes will not work as this month goes on.

Better for the young guns to learn from it now than next month...(Granted they are on the field and we are in our living rooms but we've seen a lot more Steeler tape then they could possibly view in their short careers. So hopefully Tomlin is giving them the abridged version of what happens when you look past your next opponent and they do not overlook the Skins
 
I was really scared of the jacksonville game and the Washington game... they did fine vs Jacksonville and this game made me much more confident about Washington...
Now if we could only keep some lbs healthy

Yeah, I'd say the Defense held up their end of the bargain. Could have done without the 120 "freebie" yards. But overall they did well for a team that hadn't played in 10 days. The Offense? Yeah, Tomlin was right. They sucked.

Maybe they could've learned it against Denver, or Houston, or Philadelphia, or Dallas. This wasn't the first game that was too close for comfort against a bad team.
 
Just listened to it...I’ve never heard Tomlin that pissed off.. GOOD!
