Steelers/Raven Moved to Sunday

hey we really ****** up with this covid ****...what do we do....blame some schmuck and divert attention away from those truly at fault...

**** the shitbirds
**** godell
and **** all those giving Steeler players **** for being upset over this bullshit decision the day before the game.

Ron Burgundy, Steeltime, and Timsteelerfan will set you straight and explain that Covid protocols and mask wearing is a bunch of bullshit and the Raven’s and their strength coach did nothing wrong.
you are a ********

To be 100% fair its quite uncertain scientifically how much masks help with this virus.
We know by nature of viruses p95 and surgical masks reduce the Viral load of Respiratory droplet transmission at least partially, and that the size of covid is borderline aerosol, which These types of masks aren’t thought to be effective for... its why the experts go back and forth on it....

however the nfl rules say to wear one in certain circumstances, and regardless of whatever else can be said about it they have a responsibility to follow those rules, even if they personally think it’s stupid....

.... if this guy didn’t, and the ratbirds are blaming him for their outbreak, then they should be held accountable for their staffer not following the rules and lose a draft pick at a minimum

Muscleheaded morons like Harbaugh or Vrabel aren’t going to take this seriously unless they have to forfeit a game or a draft pick... Pull a second rounder off of them and watch these teams take it deadly seriously from that point on....

It appears a Raven's staffer will be disciplined. My question is this. If Saturday night it becomes obvious that too many Raven's starters can't play due to Covid does Baltimore forfeit?

Roger Godell always seems to stick it to the Steelers.

The Steelers lost their bye week due to Titan problems. Now we lose a long 10 day stretch due to Raven problems.

Oh Roger, I forgot, it hurts the Steelers. No big deal.

just some creative editing...

Rooney's toe the line. They care nothing of the fan. All about the league the $$$$$$. Just how it is and always has been. Nothing special about our ownership. Nothing.

Well, you'll know for sure on Sunday. If they DON'T end up fielding a bunch of PS and backup players, you know it was because the league wanted to give them a few extra days to have guys that were identified as contacts earlier in the week play. If they end up still fielding a walking-wounded team you know the league was honestly trying to protect the Steelers.

Any guesses which way it goes?

It is obvious that the NFL wanted to get the contact players back. I don't have an issue with that. Maybe they would not have been able to field a team otherwise(too many contact players). At this point, no one knows. The NFL should just be transparent on this. If this is the actual case(not being able to field a team) the other option is/was to cancel the game and add an extra week. Then we lose the chance at the bye.

Have you followed Wolf through all of this? I appreciate what he's trying to do, but he's lacked firm decisions, no consistency, poor timing of implementation, no research-based evidence on capacities, etc. This is par for the course. The guy doesn't want 5,500 wearing mask, outdoors, and physically distanced. Instead, some of these fans are gonna be gathering with groups indoors and increase their chances of spreading Covid while watching the game on Sunday.

What he has been trying to do is make it political. Nothing he has done has made any sense. And seeing him marching arm in arm with protestors without a mask or face covering is shameful. He has and is costing people their livelyhood.

No forfeit. Game will be moved to week 18. No bye week. Extra playoff team per conference. Baltimore's path to the playoffs just got easier.

All Ravens either positive or on the contact tracing list will still be out for Sunday with the exception of Brandon Williams (NT). If he tests negative sat or sun he can play. The ravens will still be real short sun at 1:15.

LOL....I can't understand ( or maybe I do a little ) the angst here on this site. We all knew that this season was gonna be ****** up from the get go. We all knew, especially when the pre-season was canceled then our bye week was switched, that this season would be a lesson in the art of bullshittery. Nothing has changed but the Steelers team record. Nothing has changed with Roger and his warped sense of right and wrong.

I'm not a bit surprised or shocked at the latest changes and I'm damn sure there will be a bunch more before this season is over....if they don't cancel it altogether.

Maybe it's just that yinz haven't noticed but there is a change taking place right now in America.

The Steelers now have accommodated the league twice. Win or lose on the Thursday game it would have provided a 10 day mini bye that would have helped the team. All I expect is if the Covid hits the Steelers at an inopportune time that they are given full accommodation. There have only been a handful of big issues so far and now its been two for this team.

Wishfull thinking on the accommodations............. Tomlin has been fined for mask inappropriateness, Hairball hasn't, that's the accommodations you'll be seeing now and in the future.

Salute the nation

Actually Mad, we do know how effective masks are, it's just that N-95s stop aerosolized particles and all the others are effective at preventing globular contamination but not as good at stopping aerosolized particles. My brother in law works at NIH, and this is the most comprehensive study on different types of masks and their effectiveness at stopping cross contamination. One thing is clear though. Wearing a mask, any mask, is more effective at preventing the spread of this virus than wearing nothing, which is what the strength and conditioning coach did in Baltimore. This is why the NFL has a strict mask wearing policy and fines teams/coaches/players for not doing so.

Why is it moved to 1:15 instead of 1?

Wouldn't it be easy to get a game cancelled and moved ?. If you lose your 2 running backs and you "make up a story" that a few players were in contact with that person infected to try and get out of playing the game.

You stick them on the Covid list and make it look like your severely short handed. Seems far to easy to pull something off like that. It's not like you need photos of the players standing beside the infected individuals to get the game cancelled.
