Thanks for the heads up Stiffler......

Patience will tell. I'm NOT very fond of how the testing / protocol is of the NFL. Definately runs like a business and not a player safety concern.

Salute the nation

Question: Will the Cinci game be postponed and rescheduled at a later date should the STEELERS have a few key players out?

Chances that Vance McDonald got the Chinese flu from Marlon Humphrey, because Humphrey was sick but Hairball knew he needed him against the Steelers, and the current Chinese flu quarantine thing for the Steelers stems from that? I say north of 99%.

Honestly, if he ends up with it, barring complications he will miss the two weeks we aremost able to win without him imo

It really could be a blessing in disguise

If McDonald got it from Humphrey, he would most likely have tested positive Friday or Sat. He likely got it from whomever the other person in the organization is...

This has to be related to Vance. These players we certainly exposed to Vance who we now know was positive. The national standard for COVID contact tracing required a 48 hour “look back” prior to 1) symptoms or 2) the specimen collection (for asymptomatic people). Vance is positive, so anyone who was <6ft for 15 minutes 48 hours prior to Vance being sick is a “close contact”. That is the national standard, not sure how the NFL is doing it.

sneaky way to get Ben some down time so his knee can heal up.
kudos to the coaching system
Ben don't need no praktiss

Or a random food clerk atcthe grocery store.... at the Covid contagion rate and non specific symptoms Its pretty much impossible to contact trace it

This^^^^^. In the real world, sick people are sent home and result must come back before they return. This is for CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE employees considered essential. Therefore, Humphries should have been removed PENDING a negative result. Instead, they assume he’s fine and let him play. The NFL is not doing this the way other organizations have been doing it. CDC want people quarantined for 14 days if exposed. In the real world, if Ben was exposed <6ft>15min, he’d be quarantined for 14 days because the illness has an incubation period of up to 14 days. He can be infectious and not know it. Of course they are testing all the time, so I guess they feel that can shorten their restrictions.

lets hope mason with first team reps if neaded shows progress in practice on the short throws that he had so much trouble with last year he if called in seems to add some finesse on crossing rotes and develop some rapport for the back sholder pass

the NFL party line is that there are no "proven" cases of on field transmission. Of course, I am not entirely sure how you would prove such a thing.

Yup - 1-3 weeks. Means this contact could have happened on the **** trip. Or, not on a trip at all. Could have happened at home.

The chances of spreading the virus increase a lot when you know someone with the virus was in close contact. Titans had their issues weeks before playing the Steelers.

Humphrey had the virus as of November 1, 2020 and played against the Steelers. McDonald was in close contact with Humphrey. More likely McDonald got the thing from Humphrey - a person known to have the virus, and in very close contact several times - than a game against a team that had the virus weeks before and had played another game prior to the one in question.

Well, because the inviolate and never-erring experts have assured us that there are two and only two ways to guarantee no transmission:

  • Maintain a distance of at least six feet between people while all parties wear masks; or
  • Wrestle and tackle each other without masks while sweating and spitting, while also making sure that between the tackling and grappling you get into a really small circle of eleven people, shoulder-to-shoulder, without masks, while listening to one guy tell the others what to do.

That's it. The only two ways.

Did you have a chance to see the Mason Rudolph experience for three plays on Sunday? He threw three lame ducks, one of which was waaay too close to being picked, one that flew 10 yards out of bounds (thank heavens as otherwise that would have been picked), and one completion for 1/2 yard.

Oh, and he wisely used the last timeout to stop the clock when ... it was already stopped following one of his injured mallards.

Dobbs will get some reps too. Best case scenario, Ben tests negative and this is all to do about nothing.

Don't disagree. Just pointing out that the contact that infected him could have happened 3 weeks ago (although that is unlikely - 7-12 days seems to be the sweet spot for detecting from my completely unscientific reading and listening).
Could it have been Humphey? Sure. NFL wants us to believe on field contact is not a primary vector. The world may never know.

LOL. I was trying to ooze some saracasm in my OP here. I guess you picked up on it and ran with it. That said, it is good to know there are only 2 ways to get and neither of those ways puts me at risk if I get a BJ from an infected chick.

edit: ooops - misread your post. Thought you said only 2 ways to get it. I guess I better cancel my blow job and find 11 cicks that want to wrestle.

After watching Rudolph for a few plays I don't have much confidence we would beat the Bungholes. Maybe Jags.

I agree. I said it at half time during the game. His arm looked weak. He was just lobbing the ball with no velocity at all. Looked a lot like Duck did last year.

"but, but, but all he needs is some time to acclimate to the pro game, c'mon guys! show some support, he's not done growing into the position yet!"
