Jordan DeFigio, @fidgenewton SteelerNation.com “He’s not a number one running back.” “He can’t stay healthy.” “They shouldn’t pay him.” All these things and more have been said of*Pittsburgh Steelers running back, James Conner. Since being drafted in 2017, he’s had his fair share of issues on the field and has yet to play a full […]

Pro bowl calibre season ........might be a stretch .........I hope he maintains some consistency throughout the year and stays healthy.

I like Conner and his back-story a lot. Pro Bowl..............ummm maybe. There is still plenty of season for him to showcase his talents and I do want him to remain a STEELERS player. I also want him to make the Pro Bowl and maybe with our up coming schedule he can open things up some. ALWAYS rooting for him.

Wouldn't say pro-bowl quiet yet.

I have noticed he has improved trying to be fancy and get what you can get. Even if it is one yard.

Rather have 0-1 yard vs. -3.

I guess we are all hoping he does make the Probowl but I bet more of us are hoping he has to give up his spot to someone on the Chiefs (Clyde Edwards-Helaire) due to having other commitments in the other BOWL game in February. yeah boyyyyyyyy

That isn't the case this year. there isn't a Pro Bowl game this year. so who ever gets voted as a Pro Bowler, that's it.

Conner is currently 10th in the NFL rushing list. He has been very reliable and healthy with few fumbles so far. The plan to limit his carries has kept him fresh.

I don't care if he makes the pro bowl or, not that's secondary. Primary is for him to keep doing what's he's doing.

We play three really bad teams back to back to back. Dallas_Cincinnati_ Jacksonville. If we get a big lead, I hope Tomlin limits Conner a bit and keeps him fresh. I think most agree, wearing downs his back, dating back to Bell to current has been a problem for the Steelers under Tomlin.

Let's not make that mistake again.

I hear yaz Coach but Tomlin has shown that is exactly what he will be doing. (Cleveland to name one). I would not look past any of the three teams but ALSO feel that Conner should get a rest in each the three as well, meaning we should handle them comfortably enough to rest key players here and there. I think Cinci will be the biggest contention of the three but also feel we can handle them.

In the past Tomlin has worn out his backs, leaving them with a bit less than ideal for the playoffs. This to me is coaching mis-management. His fault. I hope he has learned from these mistakes as this could be special season.
