Dalton out Sunday(COVID)

Former Pitt Panther DiNucci step right up

This could be the opportunity the DEF needs to help forget the performance against the rush last week.

Zeke you have now become the hunted

You ain't neva lied...I foresee plenty of apple turnovers on Sunday...

So help me, if we lose to a noname third stringer on a virtually defenseless scrub team I will be the most angry and jaded fan of a 7-1 team there ever was .....

How do you stand on an

8 - 0

TEAM ?

DALLAS is just what the doctor ordered........ we used to play down to the level of struggling teams..... NOT THIS YEAR ...

Once we win in Big D with an even BIGGER DEF we will have to change your call sign from MadInsomniac to HappyHypersomniac for the duration of the season.........lol

We knew they would be focused on the run but even more so now. I watched the end of their game Sunday and this QB is going to be utterly shell shocked by the heat we bring. Hope our DL can hold up with Alualu out and Cam probably the same. The battle up front will be key.

Dallas should spend all week installing an option offense. Either that or a 4 WR air raid style with quick throws and hope their WRs can break some tackles. That’s their only chance to do anything with Dinucci and a bad OL. It could get ugly but it could possibly trip up the steelers and create some plays. Running their normal offense will do nothing. Steelers will be able to stuff the run and get preassure with 4 so they can also drop in coverage. Screw it. Season is over. Get creative. Run some crazy high schools ****. Pull out the Statue of Liberty.

I would like another Cleveland blowout, please. I want to see Mason and a lot of back-ups by the start of the 4th q.

I'm hearing rumors that Dallas is considering bringing up their practice squad QB, Cooper Rush I think, to start against us.

On the podcast, Hunter was saying he was licking doorknobs to avoid playing this defense!!!

I believe Dalton is 3-13 in regular season games vs. Steelers

Since the league is talking about letting every team into the playoffs this year...........Dalton is holding out for that chance to play in another DALLAS vs PITTSBURGH Superbowl:cower:

This will be interesting: Sounds like the #Cowboys are leaning towards Garrett Gilbert as their starter after considering all options. But they want to see how Coooper Rush and GIlbert handle practice reps

The #Cowboys plan to give Garrett Gilbert and Cooper Rush reps in practice and pick one of them at week’s end to start at QB against the #Steelers, sources tell me and @RapSheet. It won’t be rookie Ben DiNucci, who struggled Sunday night. Playing to experience at the position.

That 7-2-1 collapse two years ago has probably permanently shellshocked me...

Yeah, ain't nothing scarier than a team getting cocky against an inferior team.

It has become a recurring theme for the Steelers, and it has not been a good one.

Since 2012, when they missed the playoffs for only the second time since Mike Tomlin became coach, the Steelers have lost six games to teams that had a combined 8-28 record at the time they played them.

Included in that record are three losses to teams that were winless at the time, the most recent being last Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Heinz Field

Dec. 10, 2009

Cleveland Browns 15, Steelers 9

In one of their most listless performances in recent memory, the defending Super Bowl champs were numbed by the sub-zero wind chills in Cleveland and played as though they couldn't wait to get warm.

Roethlisberger didn't even come out for warmups because of the weather and was sacked eight times by the Browns, who came into the game with a 1-11 record.

It was the fifth consecutive loss for the Steelers and the third in four games against one of the league's worst teams. Cleveland, Oakland and Kansas City had a combined 9-28 record.

Sept. 23, 2012

Oakland Raiders 34 Steelers 31

The winless Raiders (0-2) outscored the Steelers, 13-0, in the fourth quarter and won the game on Sebastian Janikowski's 43-yard field goal as time expired.

Roethlisberger threw four touchdown passes to give the visiting Steelers a 31-21 lead, but the defense couldn't protect the 10-point advantage in the fourth quarter.

And lastly remember the "Super Bowl Shuffle" in '94

During the 1994 season, the Pittsburgh Steelers reportedly were planning to create a similar song, likely with some help from backup quarterback Mike Tomczak, who was a member of the '85 Bears and participated in the original "Super Bowl Shuffle.

The Steelers lost the 1994 AFC Championship game 17–13 to San Diego

I think he played before and is probably better than DiNucci, but either way there is no way in hell either of those guys should beat us

Agreed completely. Which is why I'm a little more nervous in this one, plus it's the third road game in a row. Statistically that doesn't bode well for the Steelers. But yeah, they should win handedly.

This isn't your last several year of STEELERS. This TEAM is focused and ready, 3rd road game or not. Dallas will be a speed bump and I hope Tomlin is subbing in once game allows. Speaking of Tomlin, you notice how much more active he is internally with the team, how much better adjustments are, time management seems pretty good or nothing sticks out to bad,....... he is asking players to step up and he himself is stepping up............. YOU didn't see this kind of stuff in the past yet alone last year. It is a special season and we will concur

thanks for all your great post(s) 43Hitman
