Clemson Tigers quarterback Trevor Lawrence has tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss Saturday's game against Boston College

"Trevor has authorized us this evening to announce that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and is now in isolation," Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said in a statement. "He is doing well with mild symptoms but will not be available for this week's game against Boston College.

"While we certainly will miss Trevor, this is an opportunity for other guys to step up and we're excited about competing against a very good BC team on Saturday. Go Tigers."

I heard he got it from this girl who is quite the Tiger.

I've never cared so little about the college football season. It's a complete joke with all these games cancelled and good players not playing.

I'm a huge PSU fan and I'm having trouble caring even a little bit about the OSU game. Just feels like the games don't really count or matter.

Losing Parsons doomed Penn State's season. Giving the game away at Indiana was just sickening to watch. I'm prepared for OSU to destroy them this week. Load the boat on Ohio State -12.

Unfortunately, I think OSU wins by 20+. Franklin's in game calls are just atrocious too.

I heard with 10 day isolation, he may miss the ND game as well.

My huge ND fan friend said he was OK with that.....................

I hear yaz Cope, don't like the C-19 dictating wins / loses

it doesn't matter if he misses the ND game. If ND wins, they will likely rematch in the ACC title game anyway. If Clemson loses that without Trevor, it won't hurt them in the polls much. It's unlikely any ACC team aside from ND can challenge them at all. Clemson beats ND in the ACC champ game and they are in the playoffs anyway.

I'm not sold that Trevor will be the #1 overall pick. It could be Justin Fields. Just look at the NFL now. Everybody wants a QB that is a run threat. Trevor has decent mobility but Fields will run a fast 40 and has a great arm. I can easily see Fields going #1 on his upside, and if Atlanta gets that pick, i think it's a slam dunk. Fields is from Georgia and let's get real, Atlanta would LOVE to have a marketable black QB like Vick again.

Kyler Murray is like a tall midget. He can't even see over the OL so he misses tons of plays, but he can run around and make things exciting. He wins games. I think this running QB trend will continue until they start getting injured and teams are reminded why the option never caught on in the NFL when they have $100 Million sitting on the IR.

Clemson is not looking good against BC. If they get 2 losses and beat ND in the champ game would a 2 loss team get in?

[FONT=arial, sans-serif]Boston College's Phil Jurkovec is making a name for himself. The announcers said he was a bit like Big Ben. Not that far off. He puts a bit too much air under the football to go deep, but the tool are there, and he's beating Clemson right now 28-20.

The kid is from Pittsburgh.

Atlanta would jump on that in a heartbeat. The problem with MOST running QBs is their physical atributes won't allow them to take the punishment or they are run first oriented. YOU don't get a lot of Russell Wilson type QBs applying for thr job. Lamary is a good example as he has definately dropped off from last year. Evidently the league can figure these type of QBs out.

When it is time for us to find the new FRANCHISE QB I hope we find the pass first & buy time type QB who could use his feet in ways other than to first run after first read. I wonder if we have started the cloning process on Roethlisberger yet ?

Outside of 6'5" I don't get the Ben comparisons.
