Guys who should make the hall of fame in 5 years of less = Ward, and Faneca

50/50 types = Porter. Your classic cover and blitz LB. I doubt he makes this years cut. Maybe some day.

Long shots = Anderson, It's tough for kickers, but he was a great player his day.

As much as I like Miller and Hampton, they don't have much of a chance.

Faneca not being in already bullshit, arguably the best guard ever to play the game and he's still waiting to get in.

Ward should get in at some point too, if voters can look past the numbers even though he has the numbers, considering he played his prime before the passing era took over, with poor QB play, on a run first team.

Miller doesn't have much of a shot, Hampton was one of the best 3-4 NT's but the stats come no where near helping him out.

Porter, I have no idea if true, just off the top of my head, he may be the only player with 90+sacks and 10+INT's

so much of that was system. 2 gap responsibiility and draw blockers. Nobody did that better but like you say, that gives all the stats to the the LBs. too bad cuz Big Snack was so much fun to watch.

Ward, Faneca and Porter are definitely HOF worthy. Heath is very good, but not at that upper echelon level. He will have to be ok with us yelling HEEEEEAAAATTTHH every time our TE catches the ball from now on.

Man......those five guys are 5 of the greatest Steelers ever and definitely 5 of my favorites. Was fortunate enough to watch all of them from being drafted- to retirement. Of course I’d like to see all in the hall. But if not they will always have a special place in my football heart.

Ward and Big Snack were both unique Steelers. Ward knocked your head off your shoulders and Big Snack took up multiple blockers consistently. Add SB MVP to Hines' cause.

Peezy had that beautiful run in route to the SB.

Hines for me should be the next Steeler in.

DON'T sell Gary Anderson short. I think he deservingly so gets in soon.

Faneca is to Gaurd as DIRT was to center.

Gonna be hard for Porter, especially with James Harrison coming up in a few years.

If I get. Time I'l see if I can come up with Jpoey's body of statistical work. We might be pleasantly surprised.............

Thanks Cope and as I said, pleasantly surprised. Joey was a monster player and his #s back that up. I Remeber when he came to PITTSBURGH, a STEELERS friend of mine asked if anyone new on the roster he should keep an eye on and my response was #55 and I got lucky with that prediction.
