The best thing I saw was a controlled, smart Ben throwing the passes that needed to be thrown and not taking unnecessary risks.
His line, ironically enough was worse than the "old guys" average in completion percentage (66% vs 67% average for the 4) and he threw an average of almost 40 yards less than the other guys. But obviously his TDs and INTs were (dare I say it) above the line.
So, ultimately he was efficient and effective and even though his numbers weren't necessarily as good as the other QBs on the day, he did a much better job of taking advantage of the opportunities that were presented him. We all know that as Ben gets more and more comfortable he's just going to get better and better. So I see this as a GREAT opener.
Great decisions, good throws (mostly) and excellent support from his skill players. (the receivers had at least 3 or 4 drops on the night as well that took away from what might have been, but you can't account for that, it's just part of the game.)
