Big Ben MNF debut prediction..38 year old plus QB's looked awful opening day

Pretty brutal day for 38 + year old QB's....Brady, Brees, & Rivers OPENING DAY STATS:

Brady... 23-36 239 YDS 2 TD 2 INT (Man I miss Uncle Bill)

Brees...15-27 231 YDS 2 TD 0 INT (He'll be back)

Rivers.. 36-46 363 YDS 1 TD 2 INT (Great numbers as usual, a loss as usual)


Let's get a stat line prediction on Big Ben...I'm predictiing BB goes 22-31 286 3TD 1 INT

27 of 37 attempts for 300 yards 2TDs 1 INT. Ben could have thrown another INT but it was knocked down.

Steelers win but of course !

Well Slash....... I shalll go the other way. I am hoping there is no 37 attempts on his first day back. Hoping for more of a ball control offense,with James having 100+ and Benny another 50. Let’s get that running game time of possession game going. Hopefully our O Line is up to the task. I’ll go 16-26 224yds. 1td 1 int.

Some lofty stats there but like how you are thinking!
 
Last three years Ben hasn't started so hot so coming off a major injury and little training camp, I don't expect much. I really hope they stick w/running the ball more, but their MO is more the passing fancy.
I'll go 19-31 256 1-1. They average 40+ attempts but I am not sure BB throwing that much is a lynch pin to victory, not this early anyway).

Lets see this team step up and remember what it was like last year with Ben out. Make plays, clean pockets and he lights up the Giants

If Ben can manage a 300 yard game I think it means his arm is back without any residual effects. Which we know this team is as Ben goes. I won't say the season hinges on it as obviously he could slowly work his way back if it wasn't and still have a good season. But it damn sure would be a welcomed sight.
 
I think this is a pretty interesting time for Ben.

The fact is the arm is as strong as the arm's gonna be. It's about ligaments reattaching and healing, not so much about muscle strength and conditioning, although I'm sure they are a factor.

Ultimately, his arm is going to hold up, or it isn't. The Dr. said some folks heal great, some don't. Far as I can tell, Ben has nothing to lose really by going out and throwing the ball. I suspect they may want to limit the velocity out of the gate, but at the end of the day, he can do it or he can't.

I'm going to call the game a win if Ben doesn't reinjure his arm and manages to get through the entire game. I fully expect the traditional Steeler (and Ben) rust to start the season. My only hope is that the Giants may be just as rusty as a Tomlin lead opening day team.

That's along the lines I was thinking too. I will go with 20-24 260 yds 2td 1 int
 
Ben 21-31 234 yds 1 td 1 int
Steelers squeak out a close one.
 
16 of 24 for 209 yards 4 TD's 0 int

BEN is not in that catagory due to his FREE PASSing abilities........


Tommyboy is.............. 43 years old

Brees is.......................41 years old

Rivers has never been able to sniff BEN's jock strap.....................38 years old





25 / 38....................301......3TD.....1 int........1 Rush TD............... & 3-shakes of a lambs tail
