Both of the first two home games will be without fans and I suspect it will be all because what will change in the next 6-8 weeks?

No surprise here, political or pandemic has yet to be determined.

Salute the nation

Which is dumb on NFL's part because supposedly mask mandates and social distancing work. Just call the NFL season a peaceful protest and there will be no serious threats of community spread.

It's going to be a "protest" anyway on the field..

Makes little to no sense and with protesting allowed during a pandemic it is bullshit to close the fans off completely. I have a compromised family I couldn't go this year. But feel bad for my friends, fans who want to go to a game.

Just more psychological warfare in depriving the people of community spirit and fellowship.

But take solace, the CDC says we're #AloneTogether.

I called my daughter school who’s isn’t doing in-house, that’s she is simply protesting having to go to school so she is incapable of getting covid. They didn’t call me back

Awesome! LOL

This is stupid. Can’t wait until all this nonsense is behind us. Stop saying it’s for people’s safety.

Are the games still going to be broadcast in the local area?

I would think so, haven't heard anything to make me think otherwise.

No reason why they couldn't mandate masks and have a max capacity crowd of X people deemed to be safe by the local government....except the local government is run by Dems.........

Very disappointed with this announcement and I know the team is as well. No reason 20% capacity wouldn’t be possible.

Pat Kirwin, former GM, on NFL radio was just talking about teams running at 15% - speculated that could be a money loser by the time you pay security, ticket crews, clean up crews, insurance, etc. I have no idea all the expenses in running a stadium but have no doubt that teams have a pretty good idea of the break even point for game day.

That said, did make me wonder about season ticket holders. I am not one so don't know how it all works. Are Season Ticket holders being credited for games without fans?

We will get automatic refunds for the preseason games and first two regular season games. I know I plan to roll over any further unused funds into next season's tickets.

I will bet you, the luxury boxes will be filled.
