is it more contagious? We have no idea. How many people get the flu and never go to the doctor? I have had flu multiple times and never gone to a doctor. I’d bet it’s the same for the vast majority. What if we started testing everybody for flu? I’m sure the cases would explode. Especially if we count the same people multiple times like they are doing with Covid. You test positive, that’s 1 case. The same person tests positive again 3 days later, that’s case #2.

there is no flu vaccine. I know they call it that but it’s just a guess and some years it barely works. Even in the best years, it still doesn’t work for everybody. The doctors have to guess what strain of flu will be around in the next few months and they design the vaccine to fight that strain. If they don’t get the expected strain then the vaccine is nearly useless.

It puts people on ventilators. Old people. Young people. Babies. It can lead to long term complications for some. It’s not an insignificant illness in some people. So when we point out similarities to the flu we aren’t saying “It’s harmless just like the flu”. We’re simply wondering why the way overboard reaction to this disease unlike any other infectious disease. Why the fear mongering? Why the complete shutdown of our entire way of life? Why the destruction of vast swaths of our economy that’s going to take decades to rebuild if it ever can be?

We’re not saying “waaah I wanna go to a bar”. We’re saying the negatives of this approach have serious costs and it’s never even been suggested before. Why?

Every metric says odds are we'd all individually and collectively be better off allowing life to return to normal right now. Most people at a gut level know that a real "pandemic" means tens and scores of people you know -- in your social, Church, or commerce sphere -- have contracted a vicious disease that is highly contagious and could strike you or your children at any moment..

This was never that, nor will it ever be regardless of how many 2 million deaths models and daily does of "grim milestones" propaganda they keep feeding us.

Meanwhile, that pot just keeps boiling the frog, the economy, and our way of life with the self-described "rational" people arguing for us to continue to give Covid-1984 way more mental and emotional energy that it ever deserved.

I have persistently questioned the efficacy of the masks. I've seen no solid science that shows it does or does not prevent the spread. Our very own Dr. Fauci said don't wear them...then wear them. Surely you can appreciate how I and many may feel skeptical.

That said, I have repeated time and time and time again throughout this thread that I live in Montgomery County MD. I have to wear a mask, or it's a $500 fine, second offense is $750 and jail.

Second, I've told everyone I'm high risk being a severe asthmatic.

It is POSSIBLE to doubt that masks do a damn thing while still adhering to laws, and over protecting oneself and one's family. You can be all of those things.

I doubt it’s a cure but I do know doctors have used it all over the world and generally wouldn’t be doing that if they were seeing no positive effect or lots of negative side effects. I believe more effective treatments probably exist now but I don’t believe it’s the deadly poison with no benefits we’re being told it is now.
