I thought he was roster exempt. Maybe he was close and they wanted him to have a real opportunity somewhere else.
I think his exempt status was finished. Guess there wasn't enough to stick. I think some though his blocking could help him. I guess not.

I think that exemption was just for one season, last year.

Well looks like there is another reason for his exit than what I initially thought.
Actually Kevin Radar is probably the 2nd best blocking TE on the team.
Didn't look to me like CSW was ever going to make it as a TE. Huge and strong but pretty slow. I've seen some highlights of Raymond and he looks pretty good so I"m thinking this is an upgrade. Bears had 10 freaking TEs signed. Saw somewhere that CSW wanted out anyway to get back to his family in the UK.
I thought he was supposed to be a one year signing and gone?
He stayed on the practice squad all last year and is currently rostered.
